You entirely missed the point of my rhetorical question.
I was not asking for theological lectures.
I was pointing out the profound insensitivity of publicly claiming that God spared one person from a tragedy that killed other innocent people.
Now that I have heard your views on the matter, I do not expect you to understand.
I have explained in a subsequent posting (#73) why I think that it would have been unthinkable for a major presidential candidate, former president, and putative next president to have been assassinated - since it would have possibly shaken our system to the core.
The death of a former fire chief, while regrettable, is not "unthinkable."
It would, of course, have been very insensitive for President Trump to explicitly state that the murder of an innocent former fire chief was geopolitically insignificant. President Trump did not do that. In fact, President Trump had very kind words for innocent victim.
So I don't know what you are going on about. President Trump did and said nothing that could be fairly characterized as "insensitive."
