I have explained in a subsequent posting (#73) why I think that it would have been unthinkable for a major presidential candidate, former president, and putative next president to have been assassinated - since it would have possibly shaken our system to the core.
The death of a former fire chief, while regrettable, is not "unthinkable."
It would, of course, have been very insensitive for President Trump to explicitly state that the murder of an innocent former fire chief was geopolitically insignificant. President Trump did not do that. In fact, President Trump had very kind words for innocent victim.
So I don't know what you are going on about. President Trump did and said nothing that could be fairly characterized as "insensitive."
Regards,
I know President Trump is a very sensitive and caring person who I greatly admire - I’m certainly not singling him out for criticism.
My comment was directed at outspokenly religious people who seem to have a blind spot when it comes to talking about tragedy in terms of God’s providence.
As I said, I don’t expect you to understand.
