Radio host, conservative commentator, and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino condemned the lax tactics of Donald Trump's Secret Service security detail after an assassination attempt Saturday afternoon and the murder of a rally attendee. Bongino laid particular blame at the feet of United States Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle.
...
I want to repeat, and can absolutely confirm, the USSS Director Kim Cheatle has repeatedly turned down requests for a larger security footprint around President Trump. Despite knowing the threat level is catastrophic. Resign tonight.
At the time Bongino made these allegations they had not been corroborated by anyone else, but Bongino is not known for talking out the side of his neck or making blanket accusations in order to incite his followers or garner clicks. Bongino used to be a secret service agent. So, if he alludes to an inside source supplying him with information, it is well worth paying attention to.
...
Actively communicating with a number of former colleagues from the Secret Service about the assassination attempt. This is an obviously catastrophic failure and NO excuses should be made, or even attempted. The failures are profound and questions must be answered about ground surveillance, air surveillance, post-stander support, and counter-sniper advance work and response. We have ONE job, and we came within inches of a deadly failure today. An uneventful failure is NOT a success.
Not long after Bongino issued his posts, The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis corroborated. Davis' sources also stated that the requests from the Trump campaign to beef up his Secret Service detail had been rebuffed, more than once.
...
A source familiar with Trump’s security detail tells @FDRLST that the former and future president’s detail has been asking for beefed up protection and resources for weeks, but has been rebuffed time and again by Biden’s DHS.
DHS, which oversees Secret Service protective detail “wasn’t responsive to those requests” for more resources, the source said.
Was Biden’s regime behind the attack, or did it deliberately do everything it could to allow it to happen?
Developing…
On a special edition of his podcast, Bongino blasted Cheatle for her political posturing and demanded that she resign immediately.
...
"It is time right now for Kim Cheatle to get her head out of her ass and do the right thing. I could tell you stories for days about her putting politics ahead of presidential protection."
Just last Sunday Cheatle sat down with ABC News This Week with George Stephanopoulos and confidently claimed that there's "nothing specific and nothing credible," in terms of threats.
...
Others are echoing Bongino's call for Cheatle to resign.
...
Republican members of Congress have already been calling for independent investigations of the security failures leading to the assassination attempt, and the House Oversight Committee has invited Cheatle to testify on Monday, July 22.
And creepy boss Mayorkas, too.
Wrong acronym.
It’s the SS now.
The SS.
The Russians care more about Pres. Trump than the FBI,
than the SS, than the CIA -- each of which
would would rather kill him and his voters.
Democrat Bennie Thompson, ranking member, House Committee on Homeland Security
Democrat Bennie Thompson introduced the absurdly named "Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable (DISGRACED) Former Protectees Act (HR 8081)" on April 19, 2024.
Democrat co-sponsors include Reps:

Question: who put these Democraps up to facilitating a Trump assassination?
Cong Bennie Thompson
<>headed the infamous Jan. 6th Commission
<>crafted a bill to strip Trump of his Secret Service detail.
<>was a black separatist early on (his resume enhancer?)
Thompson aide and field director, tax paid Jacqueline Marsaw
on social media, wished Trump’s assassin had “better aim.”
biden and biden’s doj wanted President Trump dead <~~~ it is that simple.
Trump saved by the Grace of God and his own quick thinking. Deep state deeply saddened.
Of course. Where the hell is Trump’s own security? Did he stand them down when the campaign started because he had SS protection? Did SS deny him use of his own guys in order to get SS “protection?” It might be best if Obiden were to now deny him SS so that he would have to rely on his own people.

Don’t look for this to get a lot of MSM coverage. It spoils their narrative.
People saw the shooter with his rifle climb on to the roof minutes before he shot, yelled and pointed that out to police and nearby SS, both of whom did nothing.

What I saw live:
There were no agents near Trump while he was speaking - they all had to run on to the stage.
There is one agent who did not know what to do, he kept hopping from side to side, while some 5’5 female shoves a big agent out of the way as she covers 6’4 Trump, and in the process of getting him off the stage, leaves him uncovered several times.
Its evident that there was no plan to protect Trump - or if there was one it was cursory.
The agents did not seem to know what to do - poorly trained? When he was put in the car, 4 short female agents milled around wildly with guns drawn, looking totally confused and scared.
Trump’s personal security team should have hired guys ON THEIR OWN when the USS turned them down.
Trump should have been more involved with the planning to make sure all bases were covered. Unbelievable the nearest building wasn’t manned.
Failed Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle MUST be asked in front of Congress, and under oath, “Have you denied any security requests from supervisors on the Donald Trump protective detail?”
If she answers “No,” she’s absolutely NOT telling the truth.
Resignations should start today over yesterday’s atrocity of a security plan.
someone in the UniParty will make certain some “sternly worded” letters go out.....sometime next month
