can your average deer hunter make that shot? I know nothing about shooting. He clearly missed and killed someone else.

I can’t speak to deer shooting. My folks, however, were competition pistol shooters when I was growing up. My dad ranked 3rd in PA once. He could hit the X ring 5 out of 5 times at 25 yards with a .45. I have to believe that a 130-yard shot with a rifle wouldn’t be hard at all to someone competent. And Trump is a much bigger target than a 50-cent-piece-sized target on a pistol range.

Yes. 100 - 150 yds on a man-sized target is almost trivial for hunters and recreational shooters. This shooter was massively incompetent, for which I thank God. Never count on your enemies being incompetent idiots; just be grateful when they turn out to be.

Yes. A deer hunter can make that shot. But obviously it wasn’t an experienced deer hunter because he missed his target.

If the shooter actually used a .22 LR @ 200 yards, that’s a fairly tough shot. The slightest air movement will alter the bullet’s path, even if the aim, scope, and the bullet are perfect.

You really want more mass AND velocity.
