"The choice will be very very good, it's going to be a great vice president, meaning a person that can do a fantastic job as president because you always have to think of that first and then second, somebody that helps you get elected, and there is nothing wrong with that." — President Donald Trump.

Reported by Alexis McAdams in an interview with President Trump. She's sharing this on Fox News Live today, around 2 p.m. Easter in the noon to 3 p.m. show.

Agree. President Trump supported Scott’s opportunity zones. In return Scott was very unsupportive whenever Trump was attacked and gave grudging support if any.
IMO He is a political animal and is not working to serve the Country.

Ummm. You’re forgetting someone......

In 2004, during his second year at Harvard Law, DeSantis was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy and assigned to the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG). He completed Naval Justice School in 2005. Later that year, he reported to the JAG Trial Service Office Command South East at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, as a prosecutor. He was promoted from lieutenant, junior grade to lieutenant in 2006.

In the spring of 2006, DeSantis arrived at Joint Task Force Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO), working with detainees at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.[31][32][33] The publicly released records of his service in the Navy were redacted, with the Navy citing a personal-privacy exception to the Freedom of Information Act.[34] Mansur Ahmad Saad al-Dayfi, who was held at Guantanamo, alleged in 2022 that DeSantis oversaw force-feeding detainees[35][36][37][38][33] and DeSantis acknowledged that he advised the commander of the base about the use of force feeding.[39]

In 2007, DeSantis reported to the Naval Special Warfare Command Group in Coronado, California, where he was assigned as a legal adviser to SEAL Team One; he deployed to Iraq in the fall of 2007 as part of the troop surge.[40][41] He served as legal adviser to Dane Thorleifson, the SEAL Commander of the Special Operations Task Force-West in Fallujah.[31][32]

DeSantis returned to the U.S. in April 2008, reassigned to the Naval Region Southeast Legal Service. He was appointed to serve as a special assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Florida.[40] DeSantis was assigned as a trial defense counsel until his honorable discharge from active duty in February 2010. He concurrently accepted a reserve commission as a lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the U.S. Navy Reserve.[42][43][44]

During his military career, DeSantis was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal.[31][32] His Navy Reserve service ended in February 2019, a month after his gubernatorial inauguration, with the rank of lieutenant commander.[45]

Post-naval career
With two law-school friends, DeSantis founded an LSAT test-prep company, LSAT Freedom, that one of the other co-founders billed as “the only LSAT prep courses designed exclusively by Harvard Law School graduates”. DeSantis also worked as a litigator at the Miami-based law firm Holland & Knight before running for Congress in 2012.[27]

Vance's wife is Indian, FYI. That might neuter the race baiters.

Add to that list, Tulsi is a product of the WEF. Along with Alex Soros, Mark Zuckerburg, Oneeyed Crenshaw, etc.
Not a great resume enhancer.

Yeah, I know in the past she’s been very anti-2nd. I haven’t heard much from her lately about how she specifically supports the 2nd, just vague comments from her that she supports Americans’ right to bear arms.

Her Facebook page looks active. If I belonged to Facebook, I’d post a question about constitutional carry there. I’m not a member of Facebook or X (Twitter).

It will likely not happen but I think Tucker Carson would be perfect as VP.

Somebody completely outside of politics but extremely smart and charismatic.

Elon Musk would be another great choice but he's not a native American. For some reason, only Democrats can put non natural born citizens on national tickets.

True, he is the third veteran. But I don't see DeSantis as VP. It'd be nice, good set up for 2028, but Trump would have to move and DeSantis won't add to votes for 2024 beyond the MAGA base.

And imagine the butthurt around here on FR if he did!

He does not care about the abortion issue. He sees it as a distraction.

I wonder why he changed his tune? Thank God he didn’t act like this back when he picked 3 pro-life Supremes.

I’m sorry. You are entitled to your opinion. Tulsi’s statements from 2022 & 2020 are not dated.
Just because she is singing a different song does not mean she is not performing a con job.

She’s washed up on the left so she has lots of reasons to court the right. People con people all the time. I am not foolish enough to think I can recognize every con job. That is why I am especially cautious about people with obvious self interest and abrupt changes. May be true, maybe not but no excuse to bet the farm.

The abortion issue now lies solely with the states as it should have from the beginning. Making it a political platform at the national level is moot.

Yess! I wished I had kept a butthurt list of the many many Angry Trumpers here who said again and again that they would NEVER vote for Trump if he picked Ron.

If I had such a list - You’re FRiend Joe SixChip (kidding!) would be on the top of that list - I would personally take days to go around rubbing it in their faces.

But actually - these peons are not worth my tine.

I agree with that. I’m a big fan of Ramaswamy, but it’s too soon for him to get my support for being picked as VP. Gabbard has a much worse track record than Vivek. Gabbard is on probation for another four or five years for me.

Your position is exactly the same position Southern States took regarding slavery. They were wrong then. And you are wrong now.

Tell me - what are the States gonna do about the FedGov spending 2 Billion dollars annually to fund and promote abortion?

Maybe send a strongly worded letter from their state capital to DC?

Tell that to the Supreme Court. It was their ruling, not mine. I am staunchly prolife, but if the Liberals want to reduce their offspring, let them. I'm tired of trying to save them from themselves. They will answer to God, so be my guest.

Politics. And all it did was to make the issue belong to the states instead.

“odawg, try to be civil on the thread. Allow and respect everyone’s opinions just as we do yours. It is simply wrong to insult people, tell them to STFU...”

Did you, by any chance, look up the guy’s post I told to STFU and notice that he told me to “piss off” and “don’t be a fool”?

Did you encourage him to be more civil?

That is unfair Donald Trump worked consistently to advance the pro-life agenda. Now the decision is with the States where it should be.
Trump’s criteria for SC judges was based on getting Roe v Wade overturned (although that couldn’t be said loudly). Trump believes in exceptions for mother’s health, rape and very early abortions. That agrees with most Americans and is pro-life. There is a continuum on pro-life views not a white/black dichotomy. Many people are strictly against abortions personally but are willing to allow other Americans personal choice and special circumstances in the first part of the first trimester.
