It doesn’t matter what Catholics or any other Americans want. We’ve been begging for less immigration and for illegals to be kept out at least since the Clinton administration. How many millions have been let in since then?
They are who gave us this problem.
After homosexual priests, this is my second complaint about the church, its support and promotion of illegal invasion of the US.
Christ himself said, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's...". Clearly the law meant something.
One of the reasons I am distancing myself from my conservative denomination. The fawning over illegals is ridiculous and a slap in the face to legal, hardworking immigrants and American citizens.
Jesus called for boundaries on lands.
Church has a dirty little secret most Catholics are unaware of....They are getting millions to “”help the migrants”.......
The Catholic Church has lost a large portion of its flock in America and is looking to illegal immigration as the road back.
It won’t succeed, but the Church is desperate.
The loss of Faith by American Catholics can be traced back to the late 1950’s and early 1960’s.
This coincides with the Papacy of one Angelo Roncali, better known as Pope John the 23rd.
It wouldn’t be nice to point the finger at this particular Pope, but the very left leaning Pope John, who hosted the Ecumenical Council, made a very visible effort to move the entire Church, and its flock of one billion faithful, to the political left. He was hailed as a great leader by the liberal press, just as world wide liberalism itself was in the ascendant.
His policies is what opened the door to men who should not have been anywhere near children, and the end result was an unmitigated disaster that has horrified parishioners around the world, with the resultant loss of church-going faithful.
He destroyed the trust that honorable people had in the Church itself.
Now the Church is belatedly attempting to reassert itself as a meaningful part of American society, as it should, but not at the expense of America’s national identity as a free and independent nation.
There is far more power and success in time-honored tradition than untested policies, most particularly when the stakes are so high.
And i’m at the top of the list....i have not contributed a dime to Catholic Charities in more than a decade because of their stance on this issue...I used to give hundreds each year to the Cardinals Appeal here in NY- no more because of their stance on illegals...
Further- and i’ve posted this before- i used to be a devout practicing Catholic that went to mass by myself every week since i was a kid. Even on vacation i would find my way to church on the weekend- no more....
Since Frankie has been at the helm i’ve not gone to mass most of the past three years, except on Easter Sunday....i never would’ve considered missing mass in the past...and before the haters chime in- i pray every day, sometimes multiple times a day...
Some say the Church is eternal and will not fail - I say they misinterpret what Jesus meant when he said he would build His church on the rock of Peter - He meant Peter’s faith in proclaiming/believing in Jesus as the Son of God - not the monstrosity that became the “Holy” Catholic Church which is run by flawed humans, many of whom are not unlike the pharisees that plotted to have Jesus killed. His church is the believers who proclaim Him Lord and Savior, not the cabal of “priests/cardinals/bishops/Popes that insinuate themselves in as “necessary for one to go to Heaven” when Jesus said all we need to do is confess our sins to Him, repent to Him, and claim Him as Lord and Savior.
Why should Americans have to feed, clothe, educate and medicate immigrants from dictatorships. Seems if the dictator gives them a hot woman and warm tortilla every day they are happy and don’t try to change their living standards so they come here with no skills but want to destroy our living standards.
The leaders of the Catholic Church would change it tune if it was responsible for the costs of the illegals.
