If Biden is smart, he’ll follow Nixon’s example
The Hill ^ | 07/12/2024 | JIM RONAN

As the nation’s capital broiled in the summer heat, the president found himself increasingly isolated in the Oval Office.

During his decades in politics, he had charted a career from the Senate to the vice presidency, though after two terms in the nation’s second-highest office, most believed his political career to be over. Even so, he shocked the political establishment by winning the presidency, largely by promising to return a sense of calm following a time of crisis and public protest.

Suddenly, however, the president found himself fending off calls from members of his own party to step aside, as the media monitored his every word for signs of what he may be thinking.

Yes, 50 years ago this month, Richard Nixon faced a remarkably difficult choice. (Who did you think I was talking about?)

Overall, the similarities between where Nixon found himself in July 1974 and where President Biden finds himself today seemingly end there. While Watergate dominated the news for more than two years, the post-debate attention to Biden’s health is only a few weeks old. And whereas Nixon’s presidency had roughly two and a half years remaining but for what transpired, Biden is in the midst of a reelection campaign. Finally, while Watergate was the result of the Nixon administration’s poor judgement, Biden’s problems are, mainly, the fault of Father Time.

Biden has proved for years that he is NOT SMART and we all know he is NOT a Decent Person.

I foresee a fatal medical emergency in Joey’s future. This appears to be the Dem’s ONLY option that can be made to look like an accident.

Biden ‘Ruined’ NATO Summit with Unforgivable Gaffe, European Officials Say
Daily Fetched ^ | JULY 12, 2024 | Jason Walsh
Posted on 7/12/2024, 12:12:23 PM by Red Badger

Joe Biden‘s embarrassing gaffe where he called Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelensky “President Putin” at the highly anticipated NATO summit, has been slammed by European Officials, who say it undid all their hard work. As we reported on Friday, Biden made two major blunders, the first referring to Ukrainian President Zelensky as “President Putin” and later calling Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump.”

During the speech, Biden falsely claimed that Trump praised Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and wanted to abandon NATO. But Biden hit the final nail in the coffin of his campaign by mistaking Zelensky for his arch-enemy. “It was awful,” one diplomatic source told the Telegraph. While Biden’s campaign called the gaffe nothing but a “slip-up,’” others were not so forgiving. “It’s taken the focus away from what has been a great summit for us,” one diplomat said.-—snip-—

Nixon was lucid. Biden has dementia and this serious cognitive decline simply doesn’t allow him to see the reality of his decline. He is in denial.

When Nixon lied to us, we wanted him gone. When Clinton lied under oath, the RATs closed ranks around him.

If Biden is smart he will do the exact opposite of what the Hill is saying.

He has the Donkeys over a barrel. He can demand a king’s ransom to get out. They need to pay it.

and even then they’ll be stuck with Heels Up Harris.

Although his chances of beating Trump are slim to none, no one else has been vetted and none of them have a better chance than Biden. All the negatives of Biden and Trump are baked in.

Their primary was a joke, but the voters chose Joe. An open convention is too risky. I watched Chicago in 68 and the Democrat Party will not recover from the disarray. Nothing about it will run smoothly.

I think Biden should step down because Kamala at least knows her name and where she is. He should not have the nuclear codes. He cannot drive a vehicle. He has to have pictures to walk to a podium.

I thought he would be resigned to stepping down by now, but I think he may run out the clock having a week ahead schedule publicized. I'm not sure Obama will release Hur tapes or further damage Biden without damaging the party.

After the RNC convention I suspect the media and Democratic Party will rally behind him. “Vote for the Vegetable, he's still better than Trump”

Joe’s not going anywhere.

The same way that Putin is not “swinging from a tree”. The same way that the unvaccinated aren’t regretting not taking the jab. The same way that Trump’s dinner with Kanye West and Nick Fuentes was not “the final nail in his political coffin”.

LOL.... The media is like dark clouds gathering quickly and a thunderstorm breaking out. Quick everybody, run for cover, grab an umbrella, close the windows, bring the lawn furniture inside!

It’s really sad how so many people think that whatever narrative the media is pushing heavily on any given day, has to be so.

Joe is still the same guy he was 3 weeks ago. He just screwed up in the wrong venue. If they could cover for him for three and a half years, then they can cover for him for another 5 months. That’s Joe and Jill’s logic, and it’s pretty sound.

The media, as usual, is trying to create a facade of “inevitability”. I’m 100% rooting for Joe and Jill to dunk on them.

Biden will resign.
The fake news will praise him for it.

Then, instead of strong old white guy vs. weak old white guy, it will suddenly be young black woman vs old white guy.

The Democrats will delay the announcement as long as possible - preferably when it’s too late to schedule a debate.

The perfect day for Biden to resign would be August 9--the anniversary of Nixon's departure.

Nixon made a deal with Ford to get a pardon. Would Biden make a deal with Vice President Trump, I mean Harris, to get a pardon, or would she refuse to pardon a racist? But Biden probably doesn't need to worry about the DOJ going after him, even though his crimes are much worse than Nixon's offenses.

Replace ‘winning’ with ‘stealing’ for accuracy.
