My heart hurts when I hear the hatred some Americans have for their own country
I was born in Iran, and as a young student I joined the masses of protesters in the streets of Tehran in 1979 shouting "Death to America." But I have grown to love America and what this blessed nation stands for.
In 1982 I became a dual citizen and began studying at the University of Southern California. Over the past four decades,, my love for the U.S. has grown.
My heart is grieved when natural-born citizens hate America and blame her for the world’s problems. My heart hurts when I hear the hatred some Americans have for their own country, shouting "Death to America" and burning the American flag on university campuses.
So, how has an Iranian grown to love America? Those are easy answers.
I love America because it is the land of religious freedom...This nation is where my life was transformed by Christian faith.
...snip...
I love America because it is the land of opportunities...you can dream and work to make your dreams come true ...snip...
I love America because it has enabled me to serve the tired, huddled masses in Iran yearning to be free.
...snip...
I love America because it has a history of helping nations around the world.
...snip...
I love America because it has blessed the world with its technology.
...snip...
I love America because it is the land of political freedom.
...snip...
I love America because it is the land of hope.
God bless America.

My grandfather taught me to love America. This 4th of July, it’s a lesson we all need to learn
Stories like this one remind me to keep my mind open, and that in the right circumstances, many people can change for the better, and stay that way.
My grandfather taught me
If we don’t teach, they don’t know and someone else will teach them something different.

The Iranians got the very government their young people rioted for back in 1979. Now they have had their fill of it.
Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it, GOOD AND HARD!

No they didn’t. It was a coalition of groups, Komeini’s followers and goons among them, but many simple “democrats” (philosophically), many aetheists, many Marxists, many Leftists, and many “nationalists”. What so many in that coalition did not know was how much Koemeini and his group were using them all and would quickly move to be dismissed of them, once they took power. And Koemeini and his group did dismiss them, by murder, by assassination and once they got power by imprisoning them, killing them in prison or leaving them to die in prison. In short order the ignorant in the coalition were no longer able to be part of the power structure.
In 2009, when Obama was President, there was the largest anti-government demonstration ever held in Iran, larger than the protests against the Shah, and it was against the Komeini government. Obama did nothing becase he wanted to make history with his nuclear deal with the Mullahs of Tehran.
Like the CCP in China, the Mullahs in Tehran hijacked natural Iranian nationalism and enslaved it to their theocratic agenda.
That was never the hope or intent of many that joined the coalition against the Shah.
I wonder how he feels when the US bombs Iran? Remember, they play the long game.
The Shah would not have fallen had not Jimmy Carter abandoned him.
Worst President ever... well, almost.
“Worst President ever... well, almost.”
There have been so many. Let’s just say one of the worst.
We’re grateful that you like us. Now, leave Islam, so we can be sure you’ll continue to like us.
Islam is a religion of hate, greed, conquest, and murder.
Jesus said the find peace in him.
I saw the video of Komeini landing in Tehran . His followers went into fits of hysterics and if he touched the hand of one that person went into thrashing and rolling around on the ground like a person demon possessed.
They stormed the US embassy taking ambassadors hostage for over a year. His followers took shredded secret documents from the embassy and girls, now in burkas slowly worked to put them back together.
They got what they wanted. No tears from me over this.

Yes, Komeini’s real followers got what THEY deserved.
My only point is and was that Komeini and his followers were part of a coalition that included other political groups who, as much as they wanted the Shah removed were not seeking the theocratic dictatorship Koremini delivered.
