RFK Jr. Addresses Possibility of Taking Joe Biden's Spot on Democrat Ticket
Newsweek ^ | June 30, 2024 | Andrew Stanton

Posted on 07/03/2024 1:28:13 AM PDT by MagillaX

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. addressed the possibility of replacing President Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee.

Biden is facing calls from many Democrats to step aside following a poorly received debate performance against former President Donald Trump on Thursday night. Biden's voice sounded hoarse, and he mumbled throughout many of his answers, doing little to dispel concerns about his age among swing voters as Trump was widely perceived as having more energy throughout the night.

Biden's debate performance sent Democrats into a panic as they fear he may not be a strong candidate to go against Trump in the November election. Many Democrats are now saying he should be replaced ahead of the Democratic convention scheduled for August.

That is ridiculous. RFK Jr. Is nowhere with the Democrats. Are you his campaign manager?

Trump can act unsightly at debates. And we don’t want that to happen either. Trum won the last debate mostly because Joe hung himself with his manifestation of dementia.

I have about as much chance of being the “real Dem opponent” as RFK Jr.

Agreed. RFK Jr should be put out in the spotlight and pitted against the Trump record.

Neither Trump nor the Trump camp should shy away from this challenge. They should welcome it.

Further it would be interesting to have RFK’s Veep Shanahan against whomever the Trump Veep nominee is. Why not? Shanahan is a flaming liberal that would turn off most of the electorate.

RFK Jr is too disliked, by the majority of leftists. Even the majority of the Kennedy family aren’t planning to vote for RFK Jr. I don’t see him as the replacement, if there, even, is a replacement. No matter what happens, it’s popcorn time on the Democratic Party/RINOS/Anti-Trump GOP side.

There’s not a whole lotta’ love between RFK Jr and the DNC. The Kennedy Clan doesn’t even really care for RFK Jr which I find astounding but...

It will never be Kennedy. Big Pharma has their hands in both parties. More likely Michelle Obama. Having Biden debate Trump before the nominating conventions is unprecedented. Biden was set up to fail spectacularly. I can see her as the nominee, with perhaps an old white man, possibly Joe Manchin, as Vice President.

I expect Hillary to come riding in on her broom - maybe towing Nikki Haley

MO is just too divisive - she was never really liked outside of the cult members - and there were a lot of them, true

No independent candidate has ever won the Presidency.

Trump has zero reasons to give RFK a platform and a microphone.

Would the deep state be able to manage Kennedy? I doubt they will put him on the ticket just for that reason.

The democrats better hatch a workable plan FAST that doesn’t include Biden or Harris. The public is used to quick resolution to problems and this law fare Obama and Biden birthed has left them screwed. They aren’t as clever as they thought so now they will try harder and bury themselves, democrats never leave their scraps on the field, they will take a terrible plan and keep ramming it through. James Carville is trying to tell them scrap it an try something new but they are tone deaf.

This puppet presidency was the Brain child of Barack Obama. He wanted to destroy America and in the end he never threw the hand grenade and instead held on to it so tightly after pulling the pin. But hey he finally found a legacy.

The trouble with RATs is that there’s NOBODY who isn’t a crook and there NOBODY who isn’t compromised.

Trump should not debate this scumbag. He’s an attorney, and it might not end well for us.

Why legitimize him / give RFKJr (or his platform) more attention?
Regards,

Because he can split the leftist vote and guarantee a Trump victory in November. If Kennedy can win just one Deep Blue state, Biden can't win regardless of how much the cheat in PA and MI. Voting for Kennedy's ballot line can also cost Rats Congressional seats. MAGA should support RFK, Jr.'s as much as possible to cause the maximum chaos to the Rats.

Forget debating. Right now Trump’s campaign should be running ads about the homeless camps and filth littering cities throughout the states where potential Democrat nominees govern. Force Biden to stay in the race.

From the surface, the Democrats do not have a deep bench. Gavin Newsom has a personal life as sordid as any Kennedy and the basket case that is California could be hung on his neck. Michelle Obama has her problems as well: she is not skilled at debate and may alienate black men, offsetting any gain among women voters. The Democrats may run a dark horse like Governors. Shapiro of Pennsylvania or Whitmer of Michigan, plus a minority for Vice President, possibly Nikki Haley who may defect out of Trump Derangement Syndrome and a shot at the Presidency.

Trump challenging RFK, Jr to a debate would be a MASTER STROKE. An actual debate would be even better. Both instantly raise RFK’s profile and poll numbers and he WILL leech voters from Biden’s column.

How can Team Biden respond to that? Demand time on the stage? Sue? Demand no networks cover it?

There is no way such a move plays out well for Team Biden. None.
