Mass immigration, both illegal and legal, is dramatically “reshaping the American South” more than any other region of the United States, research from the Center for Immigration Studies shows.
The analysis, conducted by Steven Camarota, looks at the expansive growth of the nation’s foreign-born population, which has reached an unprecedented 51.6 million — the largest ever in American history.
“Immigration policy is reshaping the American South more than any other part of the country,” Camarota writes.

Here in Memphis I hear all sorts of languages when I go to the park.
Spanish and English combined are probably 60% of what I hear.
The question is what in the world are they doing in Memphis? Do they not have internet connections in their home countries to see what the place is like?
We were hoping just our reputation would keep the migrants out.

Reshaping = Ruining, befouling, decimating, becoming too dangerous to reside in or travel through, i.e. Haiti, Honduras or several cities in Mexico, Baltimore and Tennessee.

Yes and its a sickening nightmare if you are in Atlanta, GA. Trump had better get rid of them next year.
Huntsville, Alabama here. Its amazingly similar any place I’ve been to Mexico. You go to ANY
laundromat it’s easily 8/10 non English speaking Mexican. Walmart? 7/10. It’s so bizarre. Wasn’t anything like this 4 years ago.

Northern Virginia is just deluged with people from all over the world.
20 years ago it was a different country
Athens, Alabama here .. On I-65, about 25 miles west of Huntsville.
We have been, for the last 4-6 months, been inundated by a very large influx of Haitians.
Some driving vehicles tagged in NJ and FL, others have gotten AL tags. All driving cars newer and nicer cars than myself.
I have found one park-and ride where many (at least 25 per shift) catch private busses to a Pilgrim’s Pride chicken plant in Huntersville (about a 75 minute ride to the east).
Apparently many more Haitians are working at the new Toyoty-Mazda assembly plant, located in Limestone county between Athens and Huntsville.
I am still in fact-gathering mode, in preparation for calling any news organizations which will listen.
Correction: chicken plant in Guntersville (not Huntersville)
And mass deportation will shape it right back to what it was.
They’ll be registered to vote over the next decade.
I moved to Huntsville 4 years from N. Atlanta, closer to my home town. I have not noticed so many Hispanics....but I don’t get out that much.
I’ll take note at Walmart, Kroger and the fast food places.
