I liked the McDonald’s salad.
McDonald’s has a place in the food landscape. There have been exactly two edible items from their menu, in my experience/opinion: first, their ‘Big Breakfast’, consisting of scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, hash browns, and an English muffin; secondly, their chicken sandwich (don’t know if still on the menu...), simple, on a whole-wheat roll. These items, back 20 years ago when I was on the road alot, were reliably tasty, CHEAP, and widely available. Many mornings waking up in unfamiliar towns in the lowest priced motel available, a good day started out with that breakfast, some coffee, some OJ. All before sunrise, and it’d keep me going for the entire day alot of the time. At today’s prices, I’d be packing my own food...
