I disagree.
All he needs to do is see who posted first. Reno89519 posted the thread at 5:13:42 whereas JL posted hers at 6:15:01.
Spunky, it’s not a matter of who posted first any longer. I remember someone posting a live thread first awhile back (Big Ed?) and he got taken down faster than you can say “mean girls.”
These two have someone wrapped around their little finger, and he’s been getting pings from them non-stop, every time someone on one of their threads dares to say something they don’t like. It’s like clockwork, and actually kind of amusing. Someone posts something they take umbrage to, immediately one of the sidekicks blasts them, a few posts later, the other sidekick applauds sidekick #1 for blasting them, gives them another blast, then reports the poor unsuspecting poster to “the boss”. Then the boss (who probably wants nothing more than to be left alone with this shit) reprimands the poster and tells him/her to get off the thread. Poster leaves, and voila.....bullies win!
It’s much deeper than who posted first. Now, if those who posted the live threads were doing it for a good reason, that is to provide a thread for everyone, then just having one live thread would definitely be the way to go. What “the boss” doesn’t seem to be aware of is that the live thread posters are doing it solely for their own control, their own little clique, and are only too happy to tell people to get the hell off of THEIR thread. Not a Free Republic thread, THEIR thread.
I feel for “the boss” and understand him taking the easy way out. Sadly, that’s how bullies win. In any case, none of us have OPD (obsessive posting disorder), so we’ll be fine. We can always post on our little normal thread.
