I have two sons in the Army, active duty. My blood son was in Afghanistan until a few months before Biden’s disastrous chaotic evacuation. He was in the US and helped process exit visas for Afghanis who had helped us. He said there were about 50+ completely processed when Biden stopped the evacuation. Some of them called him for help from Afghanistan for at least a year later. One of them, actually, tracked me down and asked me if I could help him. Sadly, there is nothing that we could have done. I shudder to think what has happened in the meantime.
Also, recently, and I’m not going to say where, both sons have been deployed overseas. One is still overseas.
