Former President Donald Trump revealed Sunday that he’s altering his upcoming speech at the Republican National Convention and his remarks will now focus on uniting the country after surviving an assassination attempt.

The 45th president told The Post Sunday he “threw away” an “extremely tough speech” to make way for the new approach following Saturday’s shooting at his Pennsylvania rally.

...

“I want to try to unite our country,” he said aboard his private jet en route to Milwaukee. “But I don’t know if that’s possible. People are very divided.”

...

Trump said policy positions that focus on immigration and transgender Americans might make mending the country’s divide a difficult feat.

“Some people want open borders, some don’t,” he said.

“Some want men to be able to play on women’s sports teams, and others don’t,” he said, stressing success will be the ultimate unifier.

I think that Trump can make all the same points he wants to about the ineffectiveness and even destruction of our nation done by the Biden administration without speaking in inflammatory tones. We may hear one of the greatest speeches ever this week.

I don’t think it is possible. My husbands neice in CA messaged me saying she unfollowed me on facebook because I was posting things that “Triggered” her. This was last Monday. Her father and sister are very conservative. I had no idea until recently that she isn’t. She just retired from teaching.

After she unfollowed me I am still able to go to her profile page and see what she posts. On the day President Trump was shot she posted this. Oh and at one time she said Trump was not a Christian. I called her out on that and said, she doesn’t know what is in his heart. She apologized for saying that.

So this is what she posted.
