That sounds like a nice drink for a warm summer’s day, Jem.
I’ve bought a bottle of gin for the summertime for the past 15 years or so, starting when we had the cottage. The kids all like a gin and tonic (with lime, lemon, orange or grapefruit slice) as well, so I like to have it on hand. It’s funny, because once the weather cools off, nobody ever thinks of having a g&t. Definitely a summer drink.
Oh no! Well, cheer up, Spunky. Biden hasn’t spoken yet, so you still have that to look forward to. They’ll have to have him juiced up to counter his sundowners.

AAAahhhhhhh I know! I just shut if off lol! I was watching Studio 6B because I think those guys are hilarious, but even with their ridiculing and snarky remarks, I could not listen to AOC.
We have a bunch of stuff at our house, too. The hubs and I don’t drink hardly at all, but we’ve had some guests who do drink. So, they mistakenly think we don’t have something to offer them, or they like their own brands, they bring it to our house. BUT THEY LEAVE IT! At one point alcohol took up a full 25% of our cupboard space. We got tired of it a number of years ago and said, come get it or we’ll pour it out.
We poured it out.

My mom always bought a box of Chocolate Covered Cherries and she would give us kids a couple. Those look much better than the ones in the box though. :-)

Right? And I was listening for a minute to that crazy nitwit Harris talking about how their great president, Joe Biden, would address the convention a little later. Ha! On the very day the report drops that confirms to the world what a dirty thieving treasonous greedy criminal pig he is, as well as his son.
Way to go, Republicans, make sure it doesn’t come out in time to do anything about it, because if they act now, with poor old Joe, who has done nothing but serve his country for 50 years, they’ll look like they’re being cruel to a poor elderly man, strictly for political gain.
