How about Kevlar vests for all Chicago residents?
And more funding for police?
They’ll probably use the tax money for climate change and trips to conferences for the Mayor and council.
I remember the Detroit mayor jetting to the Carribean to meet with dozens of other mayors in an urban problems policy conference at a resort and luxury hotel complex.

Memphis New mayor just raised property taxes 28%. As the first thing he did, he said it was the last thing he wanted to do.
Meanwhile it's safer to live in Haiti. Better services too. Free barbecue.

Brandon is only mayor because the teachers' union and other unions stuffed ballots in the last mayoral election.
Chicago and Illinois are models for the rest of the country as far as a one-party Dem dictatorship goes. Neither Jabba the Pritzker nor Brandon nor Cook County Board President Preckwinkle are in power through anything resembling free and fair elections.
