I suspect Osvel Diaz has a hard drug problem—meth or fentanyl—affecting his brain’s decision-making and judgement. He is virtually out of control; like those robots that have a circuit problem. The lax justice system allows such mentally compromised individuals to bounce from one crime to another like a ping pong ball in a box car.

He's had 25 prior arrests. The last arrest was for attacking and assaulting a UPS driver. "He is accused of throwing a metal canister at the driver’s side window of the truck – shattering it – before getting out and bashing the motorist in the head with the container, according to the court doc."

And as suspected, he was allowed right back out on the street, obviously with no time served. I checked NY State's Corrections system for any incarceration history for him and found nothing.

"Diaz pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was granted a conditional discharge in that case, according to the Queens DA’s Office."

They should be completely humiliated!!

"He was required to complete six days of an anger management course as part of the plea agreement, prosecutors said."

Well I'm glad to see that worked so well.

These people are freaking morons. I worked in uniform in NY State's prison system for 25 years. I retired in 2003. If I was an officer today, my job would be in jeopardy because not only are they closing more prisons in the State to save money, they aren't putting anyone in prison anymore. I used to tell people back then to remember, not all criminals were behind bars. That was in the 1980's. It's an even more important reminder today.
