President Joe Biden got some bad news on the eve of the first presidential election: the government’s estimate of inflation in the first quarter of the year was revised higher.
The Bureau of Economic Analysis said that the personal consumption expenditure price index rose at an annual pace of 3.4 percent in the first three months of the year, far faster than the 1.8 percent recorded at the end of last year and up from the 3.3 percent estimated in the prior report issued in May.
The personal consumption expenditure (PCE) price index is used by the Fed as the yardstick for its two percent inflation target. The upward revision indicates that the surge of inflation as 2024 began was even worse than previously thought.

Who cares? Nobody with a brain - and even most leftidiots - don’t believe official government numbers from the Biden admin because they actually have to pay for rent, utilities, gas, food, etc. Ya know, real life.
They’ll quickly revise the “basket of goods” to get the answers they want.

Real inflation is well over 10%.
One grocery item I get has gone from $10.99 to $17.99 since Biden’s been in office. 63% increase.
Know many grocery items that are similar.
The leftist I work with believe this. Healthcare was purged of 80 percent of true conservatives during the pandemic due to watching zero basic care and compassion. Another 10 percent were purged by the vax mandates.
Shocked to hear the story of my young PA who took both shots under coercion during the final months of her PA school.
I was coerced and left my leadership job. She went along and regrets it.
I don’t feel too sorry for people with enough brains to know better and rejected common sense.
I hope Trump mentions this upward revision tonight.
