Every classified document is stamped on the front cover.

Classified by: Usually a federal order, directive or SCG
Declassfy on : (date) or OADR statement

There’re called portion markings and I’ll be nothing it there on them. Highly illegal - whoever did this committed a felony, IMO. There are specific rules on portion markings and not just anyone can doe them (has the authority to).

I worked with classified info for over 30 years and mismarking can get you in a lot of trouble.

So did I but if the documents are classified they were supposed to have a cover sheet on them. The idea is to hide whatever the classified contents that were on the front page.

I also worked in STREAMLINER/NEWSDEALER message centers while in the Electronic Security Command and we'd be busted if we left of the cover sheet on printed messages...
