He’s wrong. AI will further separate the haves from the have nots. It will increase urban unrest. AI replaces middle class jobs, particularly the white collar ones. It won’t, however, replace my roof, take down trees, fix my plumbing or weld my motorcycle frame.
That's what I believe, AI will reduce opportunity, merit, and self sufficiency.
And there are a lot of people who can’t do those things, begging for others to do them. I’ve done all those. Worked on cutting down a tree today. Taught my kids (now grown) to do same. Why should lazy people get a universal income? If they can’t do productive work, they should be forced to in order to get a living allowance.
