Canada reportedly preparing to evacuate 45,000 citizens from Lebanon amid war fears

How the hell are their 45,000 Canadian in Lebanon?

I find that number to be ridiculous. Why would there be that many Canadians there?

It was the same thing in 2006. All these “Canadians” living in Lebanon and demanding to be rescued for free. Now it is 45,000 not 15000.

I don’t have a clue, since I’m unfamiliar with Canada.

Maybe they hand out citizenship to foreign nationals like Halloween candy.
