ME...not taking a chance!
Hey there, radu!
Have you heard yet when Champ will be back home? Did you get one of those random showers you were hoping for? I sure hope so!
Howdy, luvie.
No word on Champ. We just got it there yesterday and I don’t know when they’ll get around to checking things out. No telling how many other mowers have been taken in for repair.
No rain was expected today. Not a drop falling anywhere close to TN. MAYBE we’ll have a chance tomorrow but I’m not holding my breath. Wednesday is when he have the best chance and it’s only 60% chance then. I hope the corn can hold out that long. It looks really bad right now.
So sad that such a grand start to the growing season has turned so bad so quickly. I hope y’all get a surprise rain or two very soon.
It’s just getting gradually hotter here. No rain in sight here, either. But we usually don’t expect any. I love surprises, though. LOL!
It’s stinks! We had plenty of rain in May and everything was so lush and a beautiful dark green. Now everything has a yellow tint and is dry. The corn leaves are standing straight up and are starting to roll up. It hurts to look out the windows now.
It’s just staying hot here. The “cold” front coming through tomorrow that might give us a few drops won’t cool us off. The one Wed. gives us a better shot at rain but won’t cool us off either.
It’s so sad, for sure. Slow death. I’m sure the farmers are very depressed right now.
I’m going to finish up, feed the kitties and head out. See ya tomorrow. Now if I can just sleep. LOL! Nite!
Yes, I’d say there aren’t any happy farmers around here. This is rough.
Good luck getting to sleep fairly quickly so you don’t hate the alarm too much in the morning.
Catch ya tomorrow.
OH.....
With the lyrics you sent, I can “hear” his pain!
Do you understand what I mean?
The song by Etta James-”I’d rather go blind”
The whole song is just grief put into words.
If you want to watch the video, you can see her turning herself inside out, trying not to cry her eyes out!
Thank you SO much for sending it

Three weeks ago I posted this tune that Schubert wrote for Bruce Springsteen.
I'll be posting one item of classical music every Friday at the Canteen along with some history.
I didn’t have time to comment on here last night!
I was so afraid to screw up,I just had my nose to the grindstone!
That is a gorgeous picture, and you really have a knack for posting pics of the moon!
I was born in June, so that is my star sign!
Are you a “June Bug: too?
May I share you pictures with friends and credit the photo to you?

He Did???
Geez!
How the hell old Is Springsteen, anyway?
*evil grin*
**I accidentally sent this to Freepmail!**
I just watched the Etta James 1975 video from Montreaux. Dear Lord! What a performance!
Thanks, MS.B. The moon is a great subject to take pics of.
Pretty much anything “nature” is and that’s primarily what I shoot.
I have no problem with you sharing it. I’m glad you like it.
No, not a “June Bug”. My birthday was two months ago.
It really was the most moving Blues song I have ever heard!
To me, she is The Queen Of The Blues!
When she lifts her face and sings her rage and pain to the sky,
she so beautifully put it into her song.
She reduced me to tears!
Been there. done that...
I’m glad you watched it!
