Former President Donald Trump has made it a point to do something that most, if not all, previous Republican presidential candidates have failed to do in recent years: actively engage the black American community and try to earn their vote.
On Saturday, in Philadelphia, Trump is doing exactly that by holding a rally in a predominantly “black and brown” (as the Left likes to say) neighborhood. And it seems to be a historic rally given that no other Republican candidate has seemingly held such a campaign event in such a neighborhood in Philadelphia in recent memory.

He’s fearless, but I hope he is rewarded with a fairly sizeable number of blacks (and “browns”) who will vote for him. At best, I am taking a wait and see attitude. At worst, I am highly skeptical.
I wonder if any blacks will attend.
Hard working normal black people are not happy with high taxes,high crimes,and sexual deviancy.
The country club Republicans are stupid to realize this.

That is the last thing the Democrat Party wants! Especially for a Republican--and especially for Donald Trump--to achieve it.
Trump could still pull it off. If he is re-elected and has both houses of Congress on his side he will achieve this.
Expect Democrats to fight like gutter rats to prevent it.
But Trump is puissant, smart, and unstoppable.

I hope this story has a happy ending.
It will certainly answer one question I have had about Trump’s massive rallies:
What percentage of the attendees are working class locals vs. wealthy travelers?
If he can get a large crowd of true locals, that would spell doom for the Democrats.
holding rallies in areas typically ignored by traditional politicians makes a hell of a lot of sense ... those are the folks that need to be convinced to switch their vote, not the voters in areas where trump has normally held his rallies because those voters are already convinced ....
trump really should continue this trend ... it also generates more national publicity than his traditional rallies do ..
Maybe Trump can make a pitch to save the S.S. United States while he’s in Philly? The Rats running the city and state as well as Slow Joe occupying the WH can’t get the job done.

It doesn’t hurt to ask for votes. In 1989 George Wallace, it is said, received an estimated 90 percent of the black vote when he ran for Governor of Alabama.
Most fraud (the voting the people who don’t show up to vote style of fraud) happens in the black community with the knowledge of white ‘elites’.
What’s really sad about it is the early civil rights movement centered around things like the right to vote - one man - one vote.
The Jim Crow South often had two tests for citizens to take - the one for whites was easy and everyone passed. The one’s for blacks were subjective and difficult and most blacks in those areas failed the test. It was like today with democrats - one set of rules for them and a different set of rules for the rest of us. (for those who don’t know the KKK, white citizens councils and the Jim Crow establishment were ALL democrats)
So once again democrats are stealing the votes of people in the black community by ‘voting for the people who don’t show up to vote - a tactic that waters down the votes of black people who do show up to vote. It’s sickening.
You make good points but in the last mayoral primary Philly rejected the far left Soros loon Democrat and selected a more traditional Democrat and in the mayoral election the GOP candidate got about 25% of the vote.
I love it. This is exactly what he should do. Take it right to the Democrats on their home turf.
Bring back manufacturing that was systematically shipped to 3rd world countries over the last 50 years. What are now inner cities used to be manufacturing hubs (Dayton, Detroit, Syracuse, Philadelphia, Chicago, St. Louis, etc).
Returning those industries to the inner cities would revitalize the inner cities, infusing them with wealth, and eliminate the racial divide.
But that's a mostly white neighborhood -- Italian-Americans, Lebanese Christians, small shopkeepers, artists, plus a few Hispanics and far-East Asians.
Agree. If men have jobs they can have pride in themselves and stay married and raise their kids. When Detroit was our car manufacturing hub, some black workers were making as much as $50 an hour -- and that was in the 1980s. Then Clinton did NAFTA and wrecked the industry and Detroit.
Trump also got rid of NAFTA, took on China's abuse of the dollar, levied import tariffs, and developed a plan to help provide financing for black business owners to revitalize urban areas. Under Trump, black and brown employment was the highest percentage ever recorded.
