Senator Tom Cotten is a member of the select committee on intelligence and on the Armed Forces committee and as such he frequently speaks about international issues. For example, he was one of the early voices to identify the source of the coronavirus to be the Wuhan lab, for his temerity then he was roundly berated in the Pro Fauci press.

I suspect the comments on this thread attacking Cotton have not so much to do with the timeliness of his message, which appears to be the complaint, but have to do with latent criticism of anyone who does not fit the new image of conservatism on Free Republic that approaches isolationism.

Curiously, the criticism of Cotton's comments so far as I have read do not deal with the substance of his remarks but his temerity and even making them.

Since “Just-in-Time Production”, “The End of History”, and now “Wokeness”, the US only has a limited amount of arms (who needs inventories), a limited capability to quickly ramp-up production (no more large wars), and a limited capability to ramp-up production long-term (no more men with skills, just metrosexuals now).

What US government is doing is totally crazy!
Hamas, like most tyrannical rulers, do not care about “the people”. They just use them for propaganda and human shields.
If you give them food, they may use them to save on guns, or maybe even sell the food abroad to buy guns. Giving anything to Hamas is supporting terrorism.
