He worked there as a cook until 2020, making about $400 a month. The guy could work at any Taco Bell in our area and make $20/hour from the start. that would be at least $800 week for a regular work-week
If he's even a semi-competent line chef, he could make much more than that.

A year later, nearly half of participants had housing. Considering a roof over your head is the number one priority for survival, "nearly a half.." isn't a good enough return on investment. Six years ago when I was last in Colorado, every street corner bum (and I saw a lot of them) was panhandling every dime they could to spend at the nearest pot shop within walking distance.
