Breaking NEWS: RINOs shoot white man.
"His district had been dismantled and redrawn with a Black majority constituency, making reelection untenable – a remap carried out by fellow Republicans in the GOP-led Louisiana Legislature, largely at the insistence of Republican Gov. Jeff Landry."

The stupid party. Of course Louisiana is famed for producing dolts in both parties.

He gave Biden what he wanted for nothing in exchange.

Biden went to the Beach and didn’t even attend, the shutdown threat was so serious.

He might have been doing what McCarthy told him, but they screwed us. There was nothing mandating Dems to do what they claimed was negotiated. Dems laugh all the way to the Bank, again.

The is something odd about all this. He was a loyal soldier for the GOPe, but they then erased his seat.

[At the time, former U.S. Sen. John Breaux, a Crowley Democrat, said two things had put Graves in danger during the reapportionment battle.

“I think he just got crossways with the new governor by not supporting him in the primary and with Steve Scalise when he was running to be speaker,” Breaux said.]

Picking winners is key to staying viable in politics. He picked two losers in a row.

Landry decided to avenge a political slight by giving the Democrats another seat instead of continuing to fight to retain the 5 GOP to 1 Democrat seat ratio. The background:
