Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) President Stacy Davis Gates told a news radio host that conservatives do not want Black children to read, adding that it is "part of the oath they take to be right wing."
In an interview published on WBBM News radio’s site on Sunday, the station’s political editor, Craig Dellimore, spoke with Davis Gates on "At Issue," about the union’s contract demands.

Leftists can accuse conservatives of anything under the sun.
Back during Stalin’s show trials, prosecutors made outrageous accusations against the defendants, who usually publicly confessed to everything before being executed.
It is, of course, the opposite. Ones like Gates depend on things like illiteracy, substance abuse, and welfare dependency to hold their power in places like Chicago.
And where are literacy rates the lowest?
Not where conservatives run the schools.
Black or white.
Literacy rates are lowest where lefty leftists run the show.

Explains why public schools in Chicago continue to rank as one of the worst in the nation....idiots run the schools, teach in the schools and are rewarded with better pay and benefits as a result of dismal, pathetic outcomes. The voters deserve to get it good and hard, and those that can afford to leave, and do, in droves. These administrators have, at best, room temperature IQ’s, and it shows in everything they say and everything they do.
You libs are doing a great job with the illiteracy factor. Why would conservatives mess with that?

Amazing how this is being fulfilled even though conservatives are pretty much absent from the education bureaucracy. As always the projection is strong with this one.
That’s funny. I thought that expecting people to be able to read was considered racist. Didn’t Oregon drop high school reading requirements for high school because such requirements discriminated against Bipods or Bipocs?
