Migrants are relocating to Utah in their thousands amid hopes that the deeply religious state's Christian residents will welcome them.
Carmen Selene and Cleodis Alvorado had crossed into the US over the Texas border after traveling from Venezuela alongside their two sons.
After being put on a bus chartered by the state of Texas to take them to Denver, the couple expected that Alvorado would find a job and they could start their new life.

Mormons make great neighbors (especially since they believe their works save them) and most are conservative and pleasant people. Their theology is at odds with traditional Christianity though, and lumping them in with Christians is incorrect. Nice people, lousy theology IMHO.

Honest and industrious to your face. Backstabbing and dishonest when nobody’s paying attention. I’ve worked with several of them. Found them duplicitous and sneaky.
Maybe the interesting thing is that they are NOT seeking liberal values.....................
There are no Christians in Utah, only Mormons.
The few Mormons I’ve known were wonderful people, but their religion is a cult. However, if I can generalize, they love Jesus; they just don’t know who He is.
Christians? I thought Utah was full of Mormons.
“ Mormons make great neighbors”
Until their kids come knocking on your door trying to convert you to their voodoo religion!
God said countries are to have borders.
Oh they gaslight...just look at Romney and Reid(RIP)...opposite parties in the Senate but remarkably similar attitudes, opinions and behaviors. Party schmarty...they were always deep Mormons first and loved money second.
Mormons in politics will be Mormons first no matter the party label and will do what furthers their cause.
Some say the Jews run America...bahhh... I think you’ll find Mormons in charge of a lot of things you wouldn’t even think of.
Mitt’s Daddy Crossed the border from Mexico.
I don’t care about the religion, their politics suck, though.
The Mormons will be welcoming.
not true. there are plenty of christians in utah who are not mormon.
“Welcoming” Governor cox is on his way out come the next election.
I live in UT. Arrest and deport Every illegal alien invader. Get out! Stay out! You are not wanted here. That goes for LIB losers too

As such, they can divert the largest share of their offerings into building and missionary work rather than salaries and pensions. They also own a number of money making businesses on which they pay taxes. As such, they are heavy into free market capitalism rather than redistributionist socialism.
Theological, they are more closely aligned with Arianism of 4th century Christianity, a viewpoint which lost out to tritarism, during the council of Nicaea. As such, many fundamentalist Christians deem them heretical whereas the Catholics mainly see them as just another branch of Protestantism, though more closely aligned on the hierarchal structure of the church.
I was married to a Mormon woman for nearly 39 years until she passed and attended services with her on occasion. Overall, they are an honest and industrious people. Though, much like Jews, there are a handful of wheeler-dealers (especially in areas where their membership is strong) who use their religious connection unrighteously to get ahead in business or politics. Think of people like Mitt Romney here.
Generally, if the subset of their most vocal critics had similar voting habits, douche bags like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden would never get elected and RINOs like Mitt Romney would only serve a single term.
See last line of my post #37. You may be able to fool Mormon voters once, but not forever. Cox is a jagoff asking for more immigration when young Utahns cannot even afford starter houses in an otherwise plentiful job market.
