If it can be shown that Bibi himself was warned and ignored it I’ll agree with you. If his intel services were warned and didn’t tell him, they need to be prosecuted.

I hear you. We differ.

Israel is united in purpose, Destroy Hamas.

Israel is vastly divided by politics. The liberal minority cannot back Bibi because they think he’s at fault, and dragging out the war to retain power. I disagree, but see a clearer way to re-unite the country: Get the false issue of Netanyahu out of the way but for a real reason: his government made a huge mistake. Then re-elect Likud to shut the leftists up.

But hey! I’m not Israeli and plead ignorance to many things. That’s just how I see it.

It’s known that Defense Minister Gallant was informed early AM October 7 by the mayor of Ofakim begging for help. Gallant’s ‘help’ didn’t come for 5 - 6 hours.

There might be all sorts of reasons why a warning like this was overlooked.

But it is very strange that the Israeli authorities did not react to the initial breach of the border barrier in Gaza. It was not just a single fence - they had seized land for a quarter of the kilometre, a buffer zone within Gaza, and it was closely covered with surveillance towers. Nothing moved, in the zone, without being seen in Tel Aviv. Well - not until Oct 7. And then the Hamas operatives began blowing up the surveillance towers, which should have triggered every sort of alarm, but did not. Meanwhile they are rushing over the fence, and hopping over on little kites, etc.

The IDF was not summoned until people in Israel started calling for help. This is extraordinary, and an explanation is needed. I suppose there will be an enquiry, after the war.
