I think you're right.   It's something like they cannot combine milk or anything made from milk with the flesh of an animal that could have produced the milk.

The prohibition against meat and milk being eaten together stems from the one commandment, “ You shall not boil a kid/lamb in its mother's milk.

True, not supposed to mix any milk product with meat as it might cause a mother cow to have given her milk to the killing of her own offspring which would be cruel to her.

And they must avoid taking beef from the hind quarters region as no one knows in advance where the sciatic nerve is located and thus it might dishonor the fact that Jacob wrestled with an angel of God and injured his hip in that region.

There was one in Brooklyn some decades back that advertised it was Kosher. I think it was called Chang Chai.

You know an odd thing is the Arab Halal places as in Dearborn, Michigan and all big cities have similar rules to Kosher ones. The opposite of halal is “haram,” which means “disallowed” or “impermissible.” No pork or bacon for example in either place.

No implement or pot or pan can be used to cook or serve the wrong things. Nor for Jewish places can a grill or stove have meat touching where milk (dairy) products have touched at any time. Washing a pot with cheese products to use for meat products would not work for Kosher. Must be separate always.

Just one more picky point for Schumer.
If those are Hebrew National or Shorr, Aaron’s or A&H, fine.

But if they are Nathan’s then they are not kosher. They are kosher style but not kosher.
