Pelosi: Harris is ‘safeguard’ if GOP challenges election

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Vice President Harris will be a “safeguard” if President Biden wins the 2024 presidential election and Republicans challenge the results.

“Remember that we will have the vice president that day,” Pelosi said in an interview with The Washington Post. “That’s a safeguard.”

Pelosi also threw cold water on the idea that congressional Republicans would challenge the result, as they did when Biden defeated then-President Trump in 2020. Vice President Mike Pence eventually came under pressure from Trump and other Republicans to not certify the results of the election.

“I don’t think that the Republicans, if we win, are necessarily going to engage in what they did last time,” Pelosi told the Post.

That is the crux of the election problem. Changing the rules, shady ballot handling...
It is difficult to brand these actions as illegal when there are no applicable laws.
What is one supposed to think?

I thought the uni-party already passed a Bill to make sure that elections couldn't ever be challenged again during the Congressional electoral verification process.

I find it “interesting“ that even though Mike Pence and the Democrats said that the vice president has no authority to go back to the state legislature to get them to re-certify an election, nonetheless the Democrats passed the law in 2021 removing this nonexistent authority from the hands of the vice president.

Now the interesting and ironic possibility is that if Trump wins in November, Kamala Harris will have no authority to do anything other than to certify the election. It is quite possible that the Democrats may have out-maneuvered themselves.

Say what you will about the democrats, but they got all the cards when it comes to the uni-party. I think life would be simpler if I could get enough mental damage to believe what they spout.

Her statement isn’t benign, that’s a fact. If Trump manages to survive the early morning and next week count of “ballots” with an error margin, guarantee this election will be contested like you wouldn’t believe.
