Democrat who blamed GOP and Trump for 'Hinduphobic' messages has been arrested by Texas Rangers for alleged race hoax

A Democratic candidate who blamed former President Donald Trump and other Republicans for "Hinduphobic" messages sent to him on social media was arrested after an investigation found that he had sent them himself.

Taral Patel is a candidate for commissioner for Fort Bend County, but he is going viral for being implicated in an alleged impersonation racial hoax.

In Sept. 2023, Taral Patel lambasted his political opponents over the vile racism sent to him on social media.

“As your Democratic candidate for County Commissioner, I am always open to criticism of my policy positions and stances on issues. However, when my Republican opponents supporters’ decide to hurl #racist, #anti-immigrant, #Hinduphobic, or otherwise disgusting insults at my family, faith community, colleagues, and me - that crosses a line," he wrote.

"Fort Bend County’s diversity has made us all stronger, and these hateful images are from a place of deep and misguided fear," he added, "incited by people like former President Donald Trump and today’s extremist Republican party fear that immigrants are ‘taking their jobs’ and setting out to hurt our own communities.”

On Wednesday, Patel was arrested.

The Democrat was booked on a third-degree felony charge of online impersonation and a misdemeanor charge of misrepresentation of identity for sending himself racist messages after an investigation by the Fort Bend District Attorney's Public Integrity Division and the Texas Rangers.

Patel won the primary election for the Democratic Party in March and is set to face Republican incumbent Andy Meyers in November for the commissioner's seat for the third precinct.

Investigators said most of the posts that are suspected to have been secretly written by Patel were on Facebook from Oct. 2022 until May 2024.

The Democrat was given a $20,000 bond for the felony charge and a $2,500 bond for the misdemeanor charge. He had previously worked in President Joe Biden's administration.

Patel has not yet responded to requests for comment about the arrest, but a legal expert told KPRC-TV that he is still allowed to run in the election. If he voluntarily resigns, then Democrats would be forced to run a write-in candidate for the election.

He had previously worked in President Joe Biden's administration.

Joe probably found him in a 7-Eleven.

Not really. They just know it is their ticket out. They are not better than an American coder. They believe they are superior to the point where they don’t like to ask questions. Coders from China don’t test anything and Indian programmers assume they know what you want. If I wrote something and the user didn’t like it, I fixed it. That’s not always true in other cultures. It’s what he meant by “toxic IT culture” in addition to the caste system that really does exist.

Deport that filthy Rat piece of sh!t, NOW!

I believe he's a U.S. born citizen. We don't deport U.S. born citizens.

He should go to jail and if he or the democrats had any integrity - he would be removed from the ballot.

A judge should have a sequestered jury seated and hear evidence about the crime with the criminal claimed to be in absentia. After the verdict comes in, give the full sentence to this race hustler who created the fake attacks on himself.

I sold my house in Ct to an Indian couple who worked at Yale. They had an Indian real estate agent. The insisted that the house be professionally cleaned top to bottom. They never stopped asking for repairs. They treated us like we were of the dirty, low untouchable caste. I finally told the agent the deal was off. I wouldn’t sell them the house. At the closing, they asked for a new stove. My wife told them to f off. Very unpleasant people. I am Hinduphobic.

The concept of a contract being the final deal is foreign to a lot of cultures. In some groups of Indians, the signed contract is just the start of negotiations.

You must literally say “no” to everything, or they keep coming.

I learned this selling man camps to Indians in the oilfield. they were very eager to pay money and not sign binding contracts or to leave details vague.

My barber is like that. Had an Indian that apparently looked on him like he was his servant, made appointments and never showed then would just walk in expecting to get a hair cut rigjt away.....very inconsiderate as thst reserved time could be used for a customer that actually shows up.

He didn’t know my barber very well because that nonsense didn’t last long, my barber basically banned him from his shop......some of them really do think they are better than people.

I read the headline and said to myself, “Yeah, and I bet he couldn’t hit a major league curve ball either.” I humbly apologize...

He’s giving a bad name to the good “Patels”, like my Dr Patel who’s hilarious, conservative, and warned me about blood clots in vaccines before it became widely known.

Is this Dr Patel also in Fort Bend county?

No, he's in Douglas County Colorado. However, I hear there are thousands of "Dr Patels" these days. 😜
