PITTSBURGH — An explosive unearthed podcast clip exposes swing-district Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.) slamming former President Donald Trump’s supporters as a “horde of budding blood-and-soil fascists.”
The attorney, then a University of Pittsburgh legal and policy scholar, made the comments in a 2020 appearance on “Save Us From The Johns” — a politics podcast that’s since been renamed “Save Us From The Op-Eds.”
“Day-job work right now is very focused on election protection,” Deluzio said of his work at Pitt. “And that’s, broadly speaking, making sure this maniac in the White House and his, you know, horde of budding blood-and-soil fascists don’t suppress the vote. And that is basically keeping me and everyone else who’s doing that work very busy, in Pennsylvania and everywhere else.”
Deluzio, 39, represents Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District, which covers Beaver County and part of Allegheny County in suburban Pittsburgh. He was first elected there — one of seven House districts the Cook Partisan Voting Index rates “even” — in 2022, winning 53.4% of the vote against Republican challenger Jeremy Shaffer.
This year, Deluzio faces GOP state representative and Iraq War veteran Rob Mercuri in the general election. Representing Allegheny County in the Pennsylvania statehouse since 2021, Mercuri serves on the body’s Education, Finance and Government Oversight committees.
Deluzio is not the only vulnerable Pennsylvania House Democrat to have disparaged constituents.
Last week, The Post reported that Rep. Susan Wild locked her Facebook account after being called out for a bizarre comment she made on the platform calling a veteran she encountered at a Memorial Day parade homophobic.

The only good side effect of the Biden Administration is that this hatred has finally manifested itself publically and fully, so that those on the sidelines, who think that both sides in the national battle are the same, can begin to see the difference.

Blood, your parents are citizens so you are a citizen.
Soil, you were born inside the borders of the nation so you are a citizen.
All countries use some combo of these to determine citizenship of any children.
If you are "blood and soil" you are what we would call a "Natural Born Citizen". Your parents were citizens at the time of your birth and you were born on US soil.
Now some countries take it a bit far with the idea that unless you are born of native born parents (however they define that) you either are a second class citizen or no citizen at all.
This guy is probably a "citizen of the world, a citizen of the US" nut who thinks that if you step foot on US soil you are a US citizen entitled to all the rights, privileges and but not responsibilities. And responsibilities are just "not a part of your culture" and that takes precedent.

That phrase means, as usual with Dims, the exact opposite of what it says. “Gay” means miserable obsessed butt addict; “diversity” means open discrimination against whites, straights, and especially Christians; “liberal” is statist; and “election protection” is plain and simple election fraud, or “protecting” the Dims from any possibility of the election mattering.
His opponent just needs to broadcast that clip non-stop until election day, and he should have no problem defeating this guy.
It is kind of strange that the Dems know that term but few of the people they label with it know or use the term.
It is an indicator of just how radically communist the Dems are.
