House Republicans voted Wednesday to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over audio recordings of special counsel Robert Hur’s October interview with President Biden related to his retention of classified documents.
Lawmakers approved the contempt measure along party lines, with 216 Republicans in favor and 207 Democrats opposed. Rep. David Joyce (R-Ohio) was the lone dissenting member of his party.

If that doesn’t work Then they will have to vote again on sending out a more stern letter , perhaps with some words even in all CAPS

I imagine that AG Garland will decline to file charges against himself. Just a wild guess on my part.
With the Garland style, Biden wouldn’t have to be present in the upcoming debates, and Biden’s responses would come in written on paper, with the stuttering and freezes and gaffes edited out.

2 GOP and 7 Dem reported as not voting. Apparently 3 seats vacant. I don’t know whether yesterday’s GOP winner of a special house election was able to vote or was even listed as not voting.

The House needs to send a criminal referral to the justice department so if Trump is elected his AG can act on it.
The House of Representatives has its own jail and a Sergeant at Arms. It’s about time they put him to work.
