426 electoral votes in 1988 for Bush. I wonder if we will ever see that again.

But in 1992, GHWB promoted a ‘Service Economy’ that was detailed by Ross Perot, you know, that giant sucking sound? We lost our Value Creation economy and are wasting away our natural resources.

Why is he the last WASP POTUS? Why aren’t Clinton or Chimpy not WASPs? Why isn’t Trump considered a WASP? What kind of nonsense is that?

Bush may have been the last WASP President in a country that was no longer WASP by the 1970s

Was a real (ignorant) fan of G. H. W. Bush, considering the many things he did his career, not the least of which his naval service during WWII.
But, the allegations made by Heather Lind of him copping a feel (while he was in his wheelchair), that were later corroborated and he apologized for, really swayed my opinion of him. Turns out he has skeletons like most every other politician . . .

Screwed up by picking Quayle for VP, then sticking with him for 1992. The guy was a real boat anchor.
