“What right do the Feds have to even ask if you take drugs on a gun application?

I don’t know much about the ins and outs of this subject, but why do you even NEED a gun application? I recall kids in my school getting guns at something like the hardware store or similar. They just bought them and I never heard anything about an application.

Doesn’t/can’t an application result in “infringed”?

The app and waiting period are only for pistols. Long arms can be taken home the same day.

Even JC Penny's sold guns no permit required. I could even climb trees and ride in the back of a pickup with my gun.
