Hunter Biden trial verdict: President's son found GUILTY of all charges at federal gun trial
Daily Mail UK ^ | June 11, 2024 | Josh Boswell

Hunter Biden has been found guilty of three felonies today in his Delaware gun crimes trial.

The Wilmington, Delaware jury unanimously voted to convict Joe Biden ’s son of two counts of lying on a federal form to buy a gun, and one count of possessing the firearm while abusing drugs.

The historic conviction marks the first time a current President’s child has been found guilty of a felony.

He will now await Judge Maryellen Noreika to decide on a sentence for the crimes, which could be as high as 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine – though the typical sentence is much lower.

Follow all the updates from our reporters in court in Wilmington, Delaware, and our team covering the biggest stories in Washington D.C.

I wish he was found not guilty. Now thay will say the system works just like it did for Donald Trump.

Same here. Not sure what happened here. I guess they wanted Hunter Biden to be guilty on purpose.

I agree, but look at what you stated: the church shooter lied about past violent criminal convictions. Hunter had no criminal convictions, much less violent criminal convictions. Also, the 9th Circuit ruled that non-violent criminal felons have a right to possess a gun. So I always think about Barry Seal. That judge put him in community service, knowing he was a target for the cartel, no bodyguard protection, no personal protection (like a gun) and Barry was killed (I believe) three weeks into his probation. To me, it borders on thought crime.

Joe sacrificed Hunter to get the family business out of the discussion. But he will have to pardon him, lest Hunter wakes up and turns informant on his dad . It’s gonna come crumbling down for the Biden’s over the next few years.

I hope Trump gets the DOJ to offer Hunter immunity to turn on his dad and uncle . Hunter is finished otherwise. Hunter has 30 plus years left. Joe has 3 .

The evidence was cut and dried in this case.

A President’s pardon authority is limited to federal crimes. Junior was convicted of a federal crime in federal court, so Brandon can and will pardon Junior sometime after the November election and before Trump is sworn back into office in January.

That is what has always worried me about the sham criminal cases against Trump in New York and Georgia. They are state charges, so Trump cannot pardon himself when he takes office. He will have to appeal any convictions and try to get them thrown out. Most likely, the state appellate courts won’t overturn any conviction of Trump, no matter how groundless. His only chance of reversal is if the Supreme Court takes the case and reverses it either based on Presidential immunity (not likely) or violations of due process and Trump’s civil rights.

“Would you vote for a President whose son is a felonious drug abusing possessor of a handgun illegally?”

..there are very, very few handguns that could be categorized as “illegal”...in Hunter’s case, he owned a handgun illegally...and today’s verdicts confirm that....

I’m wondering if his son’s convictions will affect his speech.

Probably not. If his handlers even tell him about it, then he will blame the gun like he always does.

Correct if this is wrong, but seems he was convicted upon federal prosecution of the federal crime of lying on a federal form that asks if you are addicted to illegal drugs before purchasing a gun and he checked NO. It was a federal prosecutor named David Weiss who had the case because to lie on the federal form is a federal crime.

??

You name the wager - Biden will not pardon him the day after the election.

If Hunter Biden is the smartest guy Joe Biden knows, then Joe Biden must hang out with some pretty dumb MFs.

He’s going to be sentenced to community service at a home for sex-addicted women.

Ah, but are they really women?

How pathetic does that make wife No. 3? Married this creep at the height of his drug issues. Married after knowing him 6 days.
