Former President Donald Trump on Monday asked the Georgia Court of Appeals to hear oral arguments in his bid to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the prosecution against him.
The development is unusual in that appellate cases are typically decided by the court's review of written legal briefs.
“We believe oral argument will assist the court by highlighting and clarifying the reasons why the case should be dismissed and Fulton County DA Willis should be disqualified for her misconduct,” Trump attorney Seve Sadow said, according to the Washington Examiner.

PDJT’s lawyers made the call.
Strategic - client has input and ultimate decision
Tactical - that is the lawyer’s job
Good delaying tactic, too, if it gets on calendar.
That’s one way to get the American ppl to hear the details of the case.
At least it’s it’s not in front of that idiot judge Scott McAfee.
AOC will probably say this is sexist
Trump needs to promise to jail AOC.
Trump’s lawyers are probably counting on Fani not being able to help herself and acting as obnoxious as she did on the stand during the first hearing. I doubt the appeals judge will be as submissive and sympathetic.
Got to be careful what you ask for When Ms Willis is involved.
A better plan is for Trump to promise that even if AOC has done something that deserves federal prosecution, then he will absolutely positively wait to both have absolute condemning evidence but more importantly until she is the last unconvicted felon standing. She deserves to suffer. And she might run to Canada first because she knows how dirty she is.
That would a more subtle and entertaining promise.
I don’t know this court, but oral argument on appeal is NOT unusual, as stated in this article.
Especially in a hotly contested, important case like this.
Whether appellate oral arguments make much difference, is another question.
Atlanta still loves Fani, and don’t forget that!
