The Biden administration on Monday called for the United Nations Security Council to vote on a U.S. resolution laying out an immediate truce between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Nate Evans, spokesperson for the U.S. mission to the UN, said it was important for the Security Council to put pressure on Hamas to accept a proposal that Israel has accepted.
“Israel has accepted this proposal and the Security Council has an opportunity to speak with one voice and call on Hamas to do the same,” Evans said.
A vote on the resolution is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Monday and it’s likely to pass. Although it’s unclear if there are any mechanisms of enforcement, the measure puts the council on record of support of ending the war.

Now that Gantz has removed himself and his push to create a Palestinian State from the current government, Biden's handlers believe they see a chance to save Hamas and will insist the war be stopped permanently.
Hamas likely won't agree to the full terms, and as soon as they start attacking again, this agreement will be pointless.

The UN needs to disarm Hamass and make them release the hostages and surrender.

Pretty sure Israel will accept almost anything if it returns the rest of the hostages. Then wait for one single rocket, one toe over the line to justify going back in and completely wiping them. But if the agreement doesn’t do that, it’s a nogo.

Hamas and Israel HAD a ceasefire in place prior to Oct 7th when Hamas violated that ceasefire, attacked Israel, raped Israeli women and murdered Israeli children.
So is this proposed ceasefire different? Is it just because Hamas is getting it’s ass kicked?

The harm and control or elimination of the Jews has been on many people’s minds for over 2000 years. A truce with hamas is not going to stop it. Everthing going on now is just a short term and unstoppable project for the long run. It’s fine to use it to get how many hostages are still alive back but it will not hold when there are countries all around Israel, and numerous terrorist organizations, either attacking Israel or planning on it all the time. So Biden’s little plan is nothing compared to the real problem whether he thought it up or not. Smoke and mirrors.
