Despite President Joe Biden touting his economic “accomplishments,” a new report reveals that there are more foreign born workers in the United States than American workers.
New Bureau of Labor Statistics data released this week found that there are 637,000 non-American citizen workers in the country. On the contrary, nearly 300,000 native-born Americans lost their jobs.
Economist E.J. Antoni told The Federalist that the government has added a significant amount of jobs that are primarily only held by foreign born workers, leaving Americans struggling to look for jobs.
“No wonder Americans view economy so terribly: they aren’t the ones [with] the jobs; native-born employment is not only millions below pre-pandemic trend, but even below pre-pandemic level, while millions more foreign workers are employed today than Feb ’20, and back to trend,” Antoni wrote on X.
In its findings, the Bureau of Labor Statistics admitted that it is more than likely that the survey includes some illegal immigrants.
“However, neither the establishment nor the household survey is designed to identify the legal status of workers,” the agency stated, noting that they have no record of knowing how many illegal aliens are working U.S. jobs.
Former President Donald Trump accused Biden of committing “economic war fare” against America’s middle-class.
“The Biden border invasion is an all-out war on the working-class minorities of our country — and it is flat-out economic warfare on African American and Hispanic American families,” Trump said. “In less than 4 years, Joe Biden has imported millions of low-wage migrants and given them welfare, free healthcare, and work permits to undercut American wages.”
Antoni explained that when left-leaning outlets boast about Biden’s economy and how illegals immigration has helped the U.S., “they’re always talking about things like ‘Here are all the jobs they do.’ They never talk about all the costs that illegal immigration imposes.”
“These people are using emergency rooms and they’re not paying their hospital bills. These people have their kids in public schools which they’re not paying taxes to fund. Illegal immigrants are imposing serious and significant costs,” he added. “Housing is another huge one. Where are these 12+ million illegal aliens staying? They are staying in apartments, they are staying in houses which means they are increasing demand and driving up rent prices. So you can say they’re adding production to the economy but they’re also adding significant costs.”
All manual labor is now Hispanic. You won’t find any English speaking laborers with the exception of a bilingual foreman.
Yep. Just drive, if you dare, through any blue city and all you will see are hood rats passed out on the streets with city provided needles in their arms or guns at their sides.
Don’t undercut American’s wages with H1bs and cheap foreign labor. Bring back a lot of the job training programs that were killed off 30-40 years ago. Explain to younger Americans that there is a big need for workers in a lot of these jobs and/or they can get training to train them up if their skills/experience aren’t quite up to scratch BUT they will have to be punctual, show up consistently and work while they are on the job and I bet you’d be amazed how much improvement you’d see in the behavior and work ethic of a lot of Americans.
The jobs were outsourced or filled with foreigners first. Then when Americans lost hope they started to lose their work ethic - not the other way around.
I either wish I understood your statement, or I don't.
If you're talking about men in their 50s or 60s you might be right. But this goes way beyond that. These are young people -- mostly women -- ranging in age from 20 to 40. None of them ever lost a job due to "outsourcing," and none of them ever had to compete against immigrants for jobs.
We are witnessing a complete breakdown in our society, and the work ethic (or lack of it) is only a symptom of a much deeper problem.
There's no way to "Make America Great Again" until we first make Americans great again.
The Marxist Dems want the illegals to have gainful employment and then be given voting privileges for their party. Dems will try to pass legislation for them to vote this Nov. any day now.
Some would scoop them up if they got paid in cash so they can keep getting the disability payments.
Remember, you are NOT being replaced.
Flat line all wages starts at the bottom and goes to the top to ensure socialism is completed.
Will the Never Trumpers at Town Hall run this story on the hour every hour today the way they ran “The Great Jobs Report” last week?…no.
Yes, and that’s more prevalent than most would think. It’s a double hustle...
Just trying to understand your comment. I understand, as a conservative, that none of us are supportive of lazy, impolite, ignorant, live-off-a-government-benefit types. That goes without saying! I couldn’t quite tell from your comment how you would solve that problem though. Are you saying there should be mass importation of immigrant workers or are you just acknowledging that that is probably why businesses felt the need to hire immigrant workers? 😉
Acknowledging.
I ask because I know that there is a purist segment of libertarian conservatism which advocates for large scale mass immigration & that the free market should decide immigration & employment. I have just never supported that philosophy. I support about 95% percent of free market ideas, but will never support immigration & importation of workers being tied to the market. To take a national issue with implications for cultural identity, language, Constitutionalism, wealth, philosophy, religion & ultimately political leanings & reduce it to a business decision is a huge part of the reason that California, NY, NJ, I’ll, etc. are completely leftist.
The ironic thing for the folks that support that kind of philosophy: they allowed the immigration as a market decision, they got citizenship & they ended up voting 70+% for anti free-market, pro-socialist political parties. It has happened in every western country that followed that path. I suppose that there are always exceptions that can be pointed to, but they are few & far between. A country & culture can’t be guided by an economy alone. Other factors need to be weighed.
Why couldn’t the answer just as easily be to reform or end government benefits that produce laziness, institute the equivalents of welfare-to-work, encourage job training & the trades & start expecting those taking advantage to get off their butts? 😉
Keep voting Democrat.
