‘Not relevant’: Federal court hands MyPillow and Lindell a loss when it comes to compelling ‘attenuated at best’ testimony of DOJ and ex-DNI officials in Dominion lawsuit

In November 2022, the first subpoena was filed against John Negroponte, the former director of national intelligence — despite no prior involvement in the lawsuit on either side. Then, in June 2023, My Pillow, Inc. filed a motion to compel the testimony of Department of Justice attorney, Carlotta Wells. The career government lawyer, again, was not previously involved in the civil dispute between the voting machine companies and the bedding retailer up to that point.

“First, as Lindell does not dispute, Wells and Negroponte do not have any personal or direct knowledge regarding the allegedly defamatory statements at issue,” the opinion goes on. “At most, because Lindell claims that he made his statements about Dominion in part based on what he ‘heard’ from and about Montgomery related to Montgomery’s work with the U.S. Government, the only potential knowledge that Wells and Negroponte possess is information from almost twenty years ago about Montgomery’s work with the U.S. Government in an unrelated matter.”

Do you think voter fraud occurred in 2020 such that Trump was denied his rightful win?

Do you believe that Ruby Freeman conspired to run ballots repeatedly while Republican observers were absent?

Do you believe the claims that required count shutdowns in the battleground states in 2020?

For example, do you believe that Georgia’s State Farm auditorium had a water main break?

Do you think it was proper to move Republican observers out of the counting area and paper over the windows, in Detroit’s TCF Center, on the night of the vote count?

I agree and am completely opposed to electronic voting machines, but it will take some witnesses, or hard physical evidence, to prove a crime was committed. Just as it should be. Just because a gun can be used to assault, or murder, doesn’t mean it was used for that purpose without evidence. And Lindell (or Trump et al) has never come up with any hard evidence, unfortunately. They gave up on actually finding any in 2021 and decided to wage a PR war instead. Whether that was the right choice is still unknown, but if Lindell gets an huge verdict against him, probably not, in his case.

Our clown banana republic courts [an excellent example of which we just witnessed within the last week and a half] will NEVER allow any evidence of the massive vote fraud of 2020 to see the light of day.

If you believe they would if it existed, you also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

The entire System can NEVER admit that it's true.

Occurred? Yes. Sufficient to deny Trump? No.

Ruby Freeman ran multiple runs of the same ballot? The “double counted ballots” were only counted once. The shutdowns were at appropriate points. Are you claiming the arena did not have a main break? Wouldn’t the papering over windows have affected dem poll watchers? True may have given it to gbi, but they admitted in court they had no evidence to prove their claims. Yes I do with certain precautions. If it’s good enough for DJT, it’s good enough for me.

I’m not suggesting that lawfare isn’t being engaged here, but he made a choice to go from a successful capitalist to being an overtly public figure and making statements without basis in fact (that could be proven in a court of law).

We all share the same frustration, but he was reckless: Reckless with the facts, reckless with accusations, reckless with his business. The rest of it is just collateral damage from a corrupt regime (i.e., picking a fight he couldn’t possibly win without ‘jimmy hoffa’). And I’d bet dollars to donuts that Dominion had assistance from administration connected people in their case against Lindell.

His facts were just ruled by establishment types to not reach to a level that could be proven in a court of law. They had merit, if only there was an unbiased Judiciary.

His lawyers should have already done the paperwork to separate him from the company as much as possible.

They would be able to bankrupt him, but not the company…because it belongs to his wife, his kids, his dog…anyone other than him.

The problem was that the DOJ failed to investigate allegations of breaches and any of his claims fell under proprietary info claims (from what I recall).

All BS from my chair. We all know what’s going on, but he went to a card table against a stacked deck and he should have known what he was getting into.
