The electon of 2024 will probably see the installation of permanent one-party rule in America. Permanent.

Parties — ANY party — don’t like competition. They like to set up all their own patronization chains and procedures. Once that’s donw, only revolt will reverse it.

I hope — but do not expect — Republicans to fight back now, while victory is still possible. Republicans do not have a sufficeient sense of peril to act strongly enough right now. Their self-image as “nice guys” is still too strong.

Alvin Bragg told congress that as soon as he's sentenced Trump, he'll hop 🦘 right over to tell them off

He knows damn well that he needn’t fear any perjury charges. That will come in handy for him when he’s asked about the guy from DC who was actually in charge of the prosecution.

Waiting until the end of the atrocity means he gets to show up and gloat.

Drag his fat butt in now and tell him he can’t leave until he coughs up the truth about who directed this whole thing and how they did it. Then give him a Congressional gag order disallowing him from complaining. Turnabout is fair play.

You mean like “I defy the subpoena issued June 10” ( if the Republicans issue it as they must this Monday)> Maybe he’ll claim the 5th like Pomerantz did.
