The CAFE got introduced way long time ago, to force car manufacturers to save people gas costs. Well, it saved few bucks of gas costs, for a lot more costs of the car. Now, they even using it to force EV’s on us!

Beautiful!

I think you can still find these on the roads of Cuba!

“there are numerous videos showing how to make your own.”

Considering the multitude of “car guys” on the net this carb would have been demonstrated in thousands of videos by now if it worked. You know plenty of gear heads have followed the instructions and “built their own”.

It will be a moot point after the next election. Biden will be gone. The New Green Deal overreaching is now resulting in people realizing that the C02 Scare was all BS.

At no time in any of the EPA required average fuel mileage standard is or was their any consideration for what was feasible at what cost. They have NEVER cared about ANY cost.

Socialists never do.

It is wrong. When companies are forced to comply with such mandates it is Fascism.

Strict requirements will allow the auto industry flexibility to focus on electric vehicles.

Decoded: This or a bicycle your option.

The bastards are just regulating ICE cars off the road. They would ban them if they could. Instead they will ban them incrementally

New vehicles sold in the US will have to average about 38 miles per gallon of gasoline in 2031 in real-world driving, up from about 29 mpg this year, under new federal rules unveiled Friday by the Biden administration.

Why don't the Republicans run on "car freedom"?

One thing that’s damned certain: the government has no business involved in most everything that effects our lives!

Junkyard Joe has proven more than Democrats know. We have had too much interference in our lives by a a faceless monster that destroys our nation. Central government needs a castration.

A meat axe must be taken to this monster, and it needs most of its limbs removed...permanently.

The ad says 35 city and 48 highway, but mine did better, but I did tune it myself always

I love old cars and the ease of working on them. I had several old Datsuns, 1966 through 1970. Already had great mileage on them, but I enhanced them. Ported out and polished the intake ports on the cylinder heads, likewise with the carburetors and balanced them. Tuned the camshaft and valves. My 1600cc engines outperformed the 2000cc engines of friends. And my 2000cc engines with SU carbs outperformed other friend's cars with 2000cc engines and Solex carbs. All while getting over 35mpg. Also worked on 1960's era Chevy engines. I don't work on modern engines, too difficult with all the smog and electronics crap on them.

This is doable with a small diesel engine, but the democrat overlords won’t allow diesels. A friend of mine has a diesel VW Jetta that got 54 mpg. Hell of a range on that thing.

100% agree with you. Whomever is controlling him must sit around and think of ideas that can negatively impact our lives. Its beyond annoying, now it is dangerous. They need their butts booted out in November!
