If you take the view that art is inherently subversive, it's tragic that October 7 exists.
The play, the latest from Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, brings the stories of victims and survivors of the Oct. 7 attacks to life.
McAleer is credited as the writer, though the words themselves come from verbatim transcripts of interviews he and McElhinney conducted in Israel in the aftermath of Hamas' murder of 1,200 people, not to mention the rapes, kidnappings, and other horrors that, for at least one father, made death preferable.
As one man, Michael (Randy Schein), says of his slain daughter Rachel:
"We are crying, but at least she just was killed. She didn't get raped. She didn't... she wasn't burned alive. Only in Israel, only here, to be a parent and to say, 'We feel happy because she just was killed and not more than that.'"

Seeing October 7 left me feeling a strange blend of demoralization and hopefulness. On one hand, the world has turned its back on Israel and the Jewish people time and time again. But on the other, they have continuously shown their ability to rise up against all obstacles and emerge victorious. I have no doubt they will survive this.
Israel will defeat this generation of ham ass. I’m in Jerusalem having cappuccino on the street, and a parade of hundreds of children just went by with Israeli flags. This society is still completely spun up to go kill the killers.
Joebama can withhold all the weapons he wants. Israelis will go fight with sticks. And win.
Sadly, the festering sore on the ass of humanity that is islam will rise again in 20 years to repeat October 7th. Israel will kick that generation’s ass too.
One solution would be for the settler colonialist arabs to go back to arabia from which they launched their invasion of conquest and leave Israel to its indigenous Jews.
The more a person digs into Islam and its history, the more he will think Islam is (a) not a religion in any reasonable sense of the term, and (b) it should be rammed off the face of the Earth.
The settler colonial arabs should also leave West, Central and Eastern Africa to the native Christians and traditional peoples.

Maybe it is past time to make common cause among all the peoples and nations being oppressed by Islamic imperialism that is emanating from the Middle East.

That is why, regrettably, those "innocent" children and the women who bear them must die. Or if young enough to not yet be ruined by Islam, to be raised with love instead of hate by Godly parents of other faiths.
