Democrats fume over proposed IRS cuts

Democrats are fuming mad over Republican proposals to scale back IRS funding and defund the agency’s new free online tax filing system.

House Ways and Means Democrats called Republicans’ latest Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) funding bill “disastrous” in a Thursday statement, blasting the GOP for risking another fight over spending that led to the downgrading of U.S. creditworthiness by a major ratings agency last year.

“It seems like Republicans’ 2023-2024 appropriations disaster wasn’t enough for their conference. … Just three months after Democrats once again governed from the minority and staved off the worst of Republicans’ chaos and cuts, the GOP is back with another set of extreme, unworkable bills,” they wrote.

This is one of the very few SMART MOVES that I’ve seen of the Republicans. Rather than fighting to death defunding something like pre-natal care, make the DEMOCRATS the ones fighting to defend the IRS.

Smart, but Republicans will get back to ‘normal’ soon enough.

Pres Trump raised the standard deduction to help middle class folks that don’t volumes of tax deductions to reduce or eliminate their tax liability.

The middle class isn’t one that donates money to 501C3s that align with their liberal values, in such amounts that they can claim the donations to deduct on their tax forms.

Pres Trump, after raising the standard deduction, allowed folks that took the standard deduction to still be able to claim mortgage interest and property taxes as a deduction on their 1040s. Probably the only other deduction they can claim.

What do Biden and the Democrats do with their first budget? You can no longer claim mortgage interest and property taxes, in addition to the standard deduction.

Remember the Left is all about the Middle Class, ain’t they. But, nor do I hear any Republicans bringing it either.

Get rid of the IRS. Need I say more? H & R block will be out if business.

You’ll still need a tax collector. The Fair Tax would do it.

I’m in favor of the consumption tax/Nationals Sales Tax. But I won’t cry about the Fair Tax either.

Don’t forget to defund those 87K new IRS thugs. And take their guns, kevlar, and and other assorted taxpayer funded gear queer gear away from them when they’re escorted to the curb.

A 1% income tax for everybody until it gets eliminated entirely. The Sales/Fair tax makes up for it only after the government departments have been gutted. Go to work on deportations.

An import tariff + sin tax like when the nation was founded would be appropriate. Foreign tariff critics would be offset when workers have more money to spend.

Once all is in place allow for a $100k IRA withdrawal tax-free. Call it a tax cut for the rich. If Biden can bypass SCOTUS on the college loans we can do the same thing. It would be like the Israeli response to Oct. 6th. Or is it 7th? Who cares?

“Dems never counter with any other ideas. Just complain and name call.”

That’s not fair. Their solution to everything is to give them more power and money. They counter every sane suggestion with that.

government departments have been gutted. Go to work on deportations.....Yes and Yes

I don’t think most people could fathom the positive effect of mass deportations on: health care, hospital bills/er visits, housing, schools, jobs, crime, even when they think they do.

Using Pres Trump’s program, supported by law that they can’t come here unless they can support themselves, like New Zealand does and is where billionaires are building and buying.

Get rid of Birthright Citizenship, and if you really want to be loony, make it retroactive 10 years(at least), the benefits would be massive.

SALT deduction limiting your state and local taxes will expire in 2025. Blue states will benefit, especially the wealthy liberal elite.

"Democrats fume over proposed IRS cuts"

Regarding proposed election year IRS tax cuts, Democratic and Republican Trump supporters need take action to make sure that federal tax problems are resolved permanently by supporting hopeful Trump 47 with a new patriot Congress that will support him to do the following.

Trump and the new Congress need to lead the states to put a stop to federal government abuse of its 16th Amendment powers (16A; direct taxes) by effectively "seceding" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by repealing that amendment.

The 17th Amendment (17A; popular voting for federal senators) needs to disappear too.

Consider the repealing of 16&17A as part of reparations for victim taxpayers of the corrupt federal government for having to pay a lifetime of unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

the bad thing about the national sales tax is that as soon as the Dems had the president and both house and Senate, they’d reintroduce the income tax. Then you’d have a 20% sales tax and 40% income tax. Tax and spend, or lately spend and tax

The Republicans never go far enough. Get rid of every current tax rule & put in a flat sales tax. Period.

we ought to start taxing political activity by banning 501C organizations from funding anything intended to influence elections or the government. Make the wealthy pay their fair share.

“IRS cuts”? Are these IRS budget cuts or are they “cuts” Democrat/Communist politicians receive from the lucre forcibly extracted by the IRS from working American citizens. Appears to be a reasonable request for clarification ...
