Gov. Katie Hobbs has been caught red-handed violating state law by appointing 13 agency heads without the Senate’s approval, according to a ruling by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Scott Blaney. This move was an attempt to bypass the traditional cabinet approval process, which Hobbs described as a “political circus” orchestrated by the Republican-controlled Senate.
This ruling could ignite a new round of political gamesmanship as Hobbs tries to get her agency heads past the Senate’s scrutiny. It also raises questions about the future leadership of state agencies that manage critical programs like unemployment, housing assistance, and Medicaid.
Hobbs had withdrawn 13 unconfirmed cabinet nominees from Senate consideration last year, opting instead to name them “executive deputy directors” and instruct them to lead their respective agencies. This came after Senate President Warren Petersen established a special vetting committee, which dragged out the confirmation process and subjected some nominees to intense scrutiny.
Petersen sued Hobbs after she withdrew her nominees, and Judge Blaney ruled that Hobbs had improperly appointed de facto directors for these agencies, despite the job titles she assigned them. He noted that state law does not allow the governor to leave director positions vacant and requires nominees to go through the formal confirmation process.
However, the judge did not order Hobbs to submit her agency heads for confirmation, as the Senate had hoped. Instead, he will schedule a hearing later this summer to allow both sides to reach a mutually agreeable solution.
Senate GOP spokesperson Kim Quintero sees the ruling as an opportunity for the governor’s office to “do the right thing” and resume the standard vetting process. Meanwhile, Hobbs’ spokesperson Christian Slater believes the ruling is incorrect and plans to appeal it, while ensuring that state agencies can continue to perform their vital functions and serve Arizonans.

We’re seeing a lot of state judges ruling against the leftists in recent days. What gives?
That was a split the baby ruling- they’re still letting her get away with it. When there’s no agreement, they’ll just let it drag on until the end of her term. She wins, we lose.
These kinds of articles appear to confirm that the extreme far leftwing communists ARE stealing and fixing elections for the Dung Beetle Party turd rollers. This dopey skank ran her own election to governor in Arizona. I didn’t think that was allowed in America. The “United States” maybe, but not in America.
Vote early and vote often!..................
All we are doing is paying to be regulated.
State judges are typically elected officials and therefore answerable to the voters..................

Our experiment with de-masculinization which started with the Temperance Movement has brought the West to it knees.
Yawn, Rats do whatever the Hell they want…ZERO accountability…
She’ll be given the Fani Willis treatment - and carry on as before.
Does Arizona even have a ‘Recall’ statute?...................
One of the best ways to neutralize the submission of leftist manufactured ballots is to simply not release the in-person vote numbers until all the mail-in ballots are delivered. Make sure the time that mail-in ballots can be accepted is the same as close-of-polls time on voting day. No extra days allowed. It is the voters responsibility to mail their ballot in time to be counted. If it is late and not counted - tough tacos. You are not deprived of your right to vote - you did vote. What you did not do was act responsibly and submit your ballot in time to have it count.
Finally, screw the TV people wanting to be the first to ‘call’ a race. Many of the weak spots in our voting procedures are/were created by pressure from the media to be able to be the first to declare a winner. Let the presstitutes wait for the official numbers no matter how long it takes.
All good points.
The Bolsheviks are getting bolder by the day things must be done before November in case Trump wins.
No telling how many back room deals are going on.
I just checked. Yes, there is a recall statute/process in Arizona.
Then they should be using it...........
OOPS! I forgot....’THEY’ is the GOP.................
