Former President Donald Trump is neck-and-neck with President Joe Biden in key swing states post-conviction, according to the latest FAUPolitical Communication and Public Opinion Research Lab/Mainstreet Research survey, released Tuesday.
The survey was fielded May 30-31, 2024. Notably, news of the Manhattan jury finding Trump guilty on all 34 counts in his business records trial came out Thursday afternoon, on May 30, meaning at least half of the survey was fielded after the determination.
The survey found Trump edging out Biden in two key swing states head-to-head — Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. In Wisconsin, Trump leads Biden by one percentage point — 41 percent to Biden’s 40 percent — among likely voters. However, Biden takes the lead when third-party candidates are included.

Right on schedule
Another example on just how stoopid the voters are. That it’s even a contest says it all.
Right, jfk only takes votes from Trump. None, ZORRO votes from biden. Ya, that’s believable.
I find it disappointing.
Should be a historic blowout for Trump after all the crap we’ve seen from this demented President and his administration of circus side show freaks.
What the pollsters should be asking:
“If Biden were driving, would you get in the car?”
Too many stupid people in this country.
Who am I supposed to believe: this article, or the one posted here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKYbHG_px2I just a few posts before this one.
I don’t think Biden will live to run in Nov. The Democrats known he’s going to lose and are grooming a replacement right now (Newsom?). Watch for a “mysterious” accident or sudden health issue that ends his run.
I could see them killing Biden, and then blaming MAGA for it.
It seems to increase every year.
The Key for Trump is marketing/advertising to reach the Independents and other wishy washy groups that need to be presented with some facts outside of the Leftist activist media bubble.
The long summer slide has started, and by Labor Day, polls will show Biden leading everywhere.
Maybe Putin will be conveniently blamed, and then.....
Risky leaving it to Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. The campaign should be playing hard for NV, NH and VA as well. What do the numbers look like in NM? I don’t expect the black population to go widely for Trump but I think Hispanics could swing more heavily in his favor than in 2020.
MI, WI, PA are the most likely states to cheat. They all have radical Democrat Governors and squishy house Republicans (at best). I don’t like saying it but if those are the states the campaign is relying on it may be a bad night.
If Biden was your father, would you let him babysit your kids?
If Biden was the lifeguard, would you let your kids swim?
If Biden was the captain, would you get on the ship?
If Biden was a financial planner would you let him manager your money?
If Biden was a general, would you, or would you want your kids to serve (this is already obvious a no, since he is CIC, and they are having recruiting and retention problems in our military branches)
It really isn’t a contest, it just has to be made to appear like a contest so that the cheat appears like a normal win.
We can’t trust polls anymore and we really cannot trust elections.
The RATs and globalists have made it so.
[Another example on just how stoopid the voters are. That it’s even a contest says it all.]
He forced Detroit to give UAW employees massive pay raises. While company profits have nosedived, that’s no skin off the nose of the UAW membership. Does anyone seriously think the Federal government won’t bail Detroit out again and again, while zeroing out shareholders and creditors?
How about teacher unions? They infest public schools. Republicans are about school choice. School choice in FL has resulted in closures of public schools. The new private schools that are part of school choice don’t employ useless mouth public school teachers and administrators hired on the basis of racial quotas. But that goes against the interests of the current education work force, which wants high-paying no stress jobs.
Then there’s the big enchilada - the black vote. Democrats give blacks a lot of freebies Republicans do not. That’s why they get the black vote. Without quotas for school admissions, federal, state and private institutions, the black middle class would shrink massively and the vast majority of blacks would be clustered in entry level jobs. But a central plank of the GOP platform is the elimination of quotas.
Although black people are, on average, more socially conservative than white liberals, a significant break among black voters from the Democratic Party should be unlikely, because the Democratic Party treats black people collectively as an interest group it services, and the GOP does not.
Giving stuff to and doing stuff for black people is one of the main things the Democratic Party is about. Central to its messaging is that they do things for black people. That is why Joe Biden promised to nominate a black Supreme Court justice, and Gavin Newsom promised to fill a Senate vacancy with a black appointee.
The Republican Party’s messaging to white people isn’t as explicit, but the subtext is clear. They’re saying that the Democrats want to take stuff from “you,” their prospective voter who is probably white, and give it to “somebody else” who is probably black or an immigrant.
For black voters to switch in large numbers from the party that promises to give stuff to black people to the party that opposes giving stuff to black people, the Democrats have to err spectacularly. Basically, black people have to hate the stuff the Democrats are giving them.
One major thing the Democrats have been giving black people since 2020 is the Black Lives Matter agenda: Less policing, less traffic enforcement, less pretrial detention, less imprisonment, fewer police interactions with black men in areas where a lot of black people live.
It is possible that a lot of black people actually hate the Black Lives Matter agenda. It is possible that they are upset that people are driving sixty miles an hour down the street where their kids play. It is possible they blame Democrats for the rise in crime and disorder.
Black people bear the brunt of rising crime much more than white people do, so when white liberals believe crime is a conservative bogeyman, they think they’re being antiracist, but they’re actually dismissing the concerns of black people who are experiencing rising crime acutely.
The other thing that might be happening is that the GOP message that the Democrats are taking something from “you” and giving it to “somebody else” is appealing to black voters more than it has in previous cycles, because this time, the “somebody else” is migrants.
A lot of black voters live in large cities and a lot of migrants have flowed into those cities in the last couple of years, and black people in those cities are experiencing more negative impact from this than white liberals are.
The school gymnasium or the community center in a black neighborhood may have been turned into a shelter for migrants, or migrants may be congregating in a park in a predominantly black neighborhood. City programs that historically benefited black residents may be cut to defer funds to migrant services.
White liberals experience the migrants as, like, an unlicensed vendor selling cut mango in front of the art museum, and black voters experience the migrants as MS-13 selling fentanyl on their block.
I still have a hard time imagining that a lot of black voters are going to support Donald Trump, who, for better or worse, has successfully been tagged as a racist. But if black people are really fleeing Joe Biden, then it reveals a stunning disconnect, because the Biden administration has been more dedicated to “stuff for black people” than any Democratic administration in my lifetime.
If Biden is losing the support of black voters, then that means that crime and immigration are more important to black people than the BLM agenda, the appointment of black judges and executive branch officials, affirmative action and diversity policies, and student loan forgiveness.
Well, to be honest I’ve never put any faith in them anyway. Sadly the lame stream info gatherers will believe them.
“Another example on just how stoopid the voters are. That it’s even a contest says it all.”
I just shake my head when people say that the voters are smart. If the voters were smart we wouldn’t be in this mess.
