Former President Donald Trump is neck-and-neck with President Joe Biden in key swing states post-conviction, according to the latest FAUPolitical Communication and Public Opinion Research Lab/Mainstreet Research survey, released Tuesday.
The survey was fielded May 30-31, 2024. Notably, news of the Manhattan jury finding Trump guilty on all 34 counts in his business records trial came out Thursday afternoon, on May 30, meaning at least half of the survey was fielded after the determination.
The survey found Trump edging out Biden in two key swing states head-to-head โ Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. In Wisconsin, Trump leads Biden by one percentage point โ 41 percent to Bidenโs 40 percent โ among likely voters. However, Biden takes the lead when third-party candidates are included.

538 updated their “average” of 2020 presidential polls in Wisconsin. On June 5, 2020, 538’s updated average had Biden 48.4%, Trump 43.1%. Actual election Wisconsin results were Biden 49.5% Trump 48.8%. A good guess is polls in June underestimate Biden’s eventual support in Wisconsin by 1% and Trump’s eventual support by 5%. So on June 5, 2024, Trump is at 41% and Biden is at 40%. It’s possible that Trump will earn 46% and Biden 41% by November 2024.

It would make math fun.
๐! Not just the poll. We know some of the fidiots that are “trumpophobes”. Glad the last 3+ years have worked out for them so well.
