Law firm that employed Hunter Biden devised secret 58-page plan to help Burisma dodge criminal probe

Hunter Biden helped the U.S. law firm that employed him secure a lucrative retainer with Burisma Holdings a decade ago, and its lawyers proceeded to draft a 58-page plan to try to extricate the controversial energy company from an ongoing criminal investigation in Ukraine that relied heavily on trying to influence his father’s administration in Washington, according to evidence gathered by the FBI.

The “legal defense plan” memo by Boies Schiller & Flexner, obtained by Just the News, was part of a collection of 3.39 million pages of evidence that federal agents seized during the 2016 election as part of a securities fraud investigation that targeted some of Hunter Biden’s business partners. Those records are now in the hands of Congress.

The June 2014 document was not on the Hunter Biden laptop that the FBI seized in 2019, but was in the possession of Hunter Biden’s closest business associate, Devon Archer, who is now cooperating with the House GOP impeachment probe of President Joe Biden.

“Mike – Hunter and I just spoke. We’re cancelling the call unless Hunter tells us otherwise,” Boies Schiller lawyer Heather King wrote a colleague on April 22, 2014. “His team spoke to Burisma at 9 and they are anxiously awaiting the engagement letter, so I told Hunter you and I would finish our internal work on that today so they can have it within the next 24 hours.”

No matter. Joe Biden is just a “feeble old man” with
a “bad memory”.....no jury would ever convict him.

Every law firm creates “secret” documents. It is called attorney work product.

What is being missed here is the the firm is Boies Schiller & Flexner. The first name of the firm should be familiar to all, but if not

David Bois

David is the Chairman of Boies Schiller Flexner, a founding partner, and a permanent member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

. . .

In 1998-2000, he served as Special Trial Counsel for the United States Department of Justice in its antitrust suit against Microsoft. David also served as the lead counsel for former Vice-President Al Gore in connection with litigation relating to the 2000 election Florida vote count. As co-lead counsel for the plaintiffs in Perry v. Brown, he won the first judgment establishing the right to marry for gay and lesbian citizens under the U.S. Constitution.

I suppose the payment for this work wasn’t reported as “legal expense” because, you know, that would be 34 felonies.

And we’ll be piercing attorney-client privilege as the activity was in furtherance of a crime right?

April 13, 2014 : (Hunter Biden emails Devon Archer, an email that resembles a State Dept briefing) Searching the laptop for relevant material, Devine stumbled upon a remarkable email Hunter had sent to his business partner, Devon Archer, on April 13, 2014, that stood out from all the rest. It was intelligent, informed, significantly longer than the others, and very well-written. It sounded, in fact, a lot like a State Department briefing.

Devine said it “looks very much like it came from a classified briefing. At least, it has the flavor of an official briefing, perhaps a classified one.”

“And it’s a very uncharacteristic email for Hunter. It’s unlike anything else. Well-written, very lengthy. It’s 1,300 words. It’s very detailed,” she explained. “It has a lot of information in it, very strategic geopolitical information about Ukraine. It lists 22 points about Ukraine, about its political situation, about the upcoming election. … It also predicted that Russia would escalate. It also predicted that the U.S. would apply sanctions very confidently. And so you wonder: Where does Hunter Biden get this information?”

Also, from reporter Sheryll Atkisson:

...An April 13, 2014 email allegedly from Hunter Biden to his then-business associate Devon Archer refers to traveling to Houston “tmrw.” Secret Service records show a travel record for Hunter Biden from April 13, 2014 – April 14, 2014, to Houston, TX.
An email from Ukrainian business official Vadim Pozharskyi of the energy firm Burisma to Hunter Biden and Archer on May 12, 2014 reads: “Following our talks during the visit to the Como Lake and our further discussions, I would like to bring the following situation to your attention.”
Secret Service records show a travel record for Hunter Biden to Lake Cuomo, Italy on April 3, 2014-April 6, 2014....

Everyone missed what is now, in hindsight, a crystal clear signal that the White House knew that the buffalo chips were about to hit the fan; and that they are very worried. On April 21 (2014), the White House announced that Neil Eggleston would be the new counsel to the president. It didn’t get much notice, but in light of recent events, it’s a really big deal.

We are starting to understand why Hunter was easily worth $1 million per year to Burisma.

April 12, 2014 : (Hunter Biden emails Devon Archer, predicts Petro Poroshenko would be elected) Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said the April 12, 2014 message to one of the first son’s business partners resembles documents that the State Department gives members of the Senate when they travel overseas.
“It reads like one of those scene-setters — highly detailed information in terms of Ukraine,” Johnson told Fox News Tuesday.
The email from Hunter to Devon Archer includes a granular 22-point memo the Biden scion described as “thoughts after doing some research.”
Those “thoughts” include the prescient predictions that Petro Poroshenko would be elected Ukraine’s president the following month and that “some sort of decentralization will likely occur in the East.”
