In a landmark election, Claudia Sheinbaum became the first woman, and the first Jewish person, to be elected president of Mexico. This year’s election is considered the largest in Mexico’s history, with the highest number of voters casting ballots for the presidency and more than 20,000 local, state and congressional posts.
This page shows preliminary results provided in real time on election night. The vote counts that determine the final result will take place from June 5 to June 8.

She has vowed to consolidate some of the current president’s major infrastructure projects, carry out his austerity measures and preserve his social welfare programs.

I think she’ll probably have trouble. Mexico City is very different from other parts of the country, and what works in the DF doesn’t play in the provinces.
I will add, she supports shutting down Mexico’s Silver producing strip mines….perhaps the only commodity of any huge “ wealth” left in Mexico.
Hint: buy Silver now….lots of it…..the four year running of world silver shortages will not get any better when/if 25 percent of the world’s supply is shut down.
